Well Myself, Matt, Streff & Hippo all managed to get a game of this after a few teething problems. It wouldn't let us connect into each others games, but thats to be expected as steam was probably getting raped by people d/l'in the game or playing it. I loaded Himachi and it seemed to work for me after that but i dont know if that is what fixed it or not.

It was actually really good and pretty addictive, we ended up 4 missions in and getting our asses raped because some medic with a double barrelled shotgun couldn't get his act together... Tsk tsk... (not naming no names lol)

Me and Matt started off running through the first mission ourselves and ended up getting creamed once or twice and having to start again.

I think the only down part of it is if you lose the entire squad you need to start from scratch again, there should be some sort of checkpoint in game where you can reload if you die.

Also if one member of the team goes, he's gone for the rest of that game, the medic can't revive him.

But all in all it was a really good game to play and i look forward to doing the 4th mission tonight if anyone else is on.

Thats my two cents anyways...

Fun games again last night, and we finally got the campaign completed, albeit on normal mode, and only 2 of us actually made it. We really should replay that last level for the 2 who didn't make it though. Some of the unlocks make a lot of difference, especially when dealing with the infection stuff we were struggling with the night before, and I think our teamwork was much better (especially when it came to drawing on the mini map  ).

We also had 8 people playing over the course of the night, and a few others I spoke to on steam are also downloading it. Milo and Doc popped on late, and the 3 of us attempted the first and second level of the campaign on Hard, but it was quite a step up from the normal mode and we struggled with just the 3 of us, plus the hoard seemed to like Milo :). Amongst other things, it's harder to manage Ammo and Health with 3 people, and I think it was a bit harsh not turning the difficulty down for those last couple of games.

Looking forward to a few more games tonight :)

Yeah, I fair enjoyed it last night. I struggled to grasp what was going on, I think I need to play it from the begining instead of jumping in halfway through a campaign. Enjoyed it though, pretty good.

Yea i need to replay that last mission again, my machine bugged out and i lost my place lol :'(

I think for the hard mode you should be allowed 1 more person on the squads...

Hard mode was fun but the hoard take a lot more time to die and hit harder funnily enough lol...

Infection is my worst nightmare...

I think the normal mode is perfect for starting off, then at the harder levels you need to really start considering your teamwork. On the harder levels you really need to manage health and ammo, so a bit more caution and making sure we don't all fire at the same targets is the way forward. Three of us playing the second level on hard last night was tricky, but we still got quite far despite losing someone to an early death. Some of our tradtional kit choices on the normal levels, like the one medic approach, just won't work though, or at least it won't if we're as gung ho as we were on the normal levels :)

its a great little game. got some great tactical choices available and some really nice little touches.

from what i have been reading the difficulty between normal and hard is nothing compared to hard to insanity.

i really feel that some of the unlocks should be given earlier as dealing with infections are such a pain in the arse.

Oh btw, the electric charge armour has a use versus the infection which I noticed last night. It apparently stops the infection dead in it's tracks when used, as well as the stun effect it has if you get surrounded. You only have 3 charges, but once lost you can always pick up a personal med kit from the map.

Oh and I agree on the unlocks which should be available sooner, but having said that, you level up much faster on the harder levels. I went two or three ahead of Bob last night, with only a couple of extra games completed.
