Hi guys,

I seem to be having an issue with my server, wherein the settings seem to change after every round/map change...

The current settings are:

vars.hardCore true
vars.killCam false
vars.teamBalance true
vars.crossHair true
vars.miniMapSpotting true
vars.miniMap true
vars.thirdPersonVehicleCameras true
vars.3dSpotting true
vars.friendlyFire true

But after a map change or round it seems to change to this:

vars.hardCore true
vars.killCam false
vars.teamBalance true
vars.crossHair false
vars.miniMapSpotting false
vars.miniMap false
vars.thirdPersonVehicleCameras true
vars.3dSpotting false
vars.friendlyFire true

This is without any changes being made on the server it just occurs after the 1st round/map. The settings are ok after a server restart and the 1st round/map plays with the correct settings.

Anyone got any ideas at all?

Yeah... it is obviously a really smart server that defaults to the best possible settings.

i think those may well be the default settings for hardcore.
i will post on the mailing list to see if kalms can clear it up.

it is hardcore mode correcting your settings at the round swap, remove hardcore if you want those other settings.

How crap is that? Surely as we pay for a server we should be able to have whatever settings we want? Hardcore damage is good as it stops you having to unload a clip, throw a tank, and then nuke someone before they die. But spotting is decent and why should you not be able to see how much ammo you've got just because you want to be on hardcore? So not impressed.

your welcome to set whatever you want, but if it not deemed a ranked setting you need to remove ranking and they you should have full control of settings.

as its already been found out if you try to select a none ranked setting the server will default to the correct settings if you are in ranked mode.

they already asked the server hosts if they would rather it correct the settings or derank the server. we agreed on corrected settings.
