mugs you tried the demo yet ? awesome game but have you heard anything on how it will play online ? i know you sniff out all this information .

Yes I have played the demo version.
Basically it has the new ISI graphics engine that rFactor uses so it looks alot prettier.
It doesnt use the same netcode as rFactor though, so multiplayer will be a bit poor again.
It does have nice weather effects though.
I am biased though as rfactor is the game I race with. Although the effects and track/model detail in GTR 2 is very good, all of this can be done in rfactor.
There is a new update for rFactor that added 6 new tracks (including 4 F1 tracks) the BMW F1 2006 car (which is excellent to drive) and stock car racing for the americans!
Also with this update if you download the game and dont activate it, it works in demo mode and gives you 2 tracks and 2 cars including the BMW F1 2006 car to play with offline and then you can buy the activation key if you like the game.
So yeah GTR 2 demo is very nice looking and pretty and well made, but its the multiplayer in racing games that does it for me and rfactor beats it hands down I am afraid.
The CTDP F1 2005 season mod is due out very very soon also so there will be a complete F1 series in the game. DTM 2006 season is being worked on currently by GSMF who released the very good PCC 05 cup mod and the VW Lupo 2003 cup mod.

GTR 2 or rFactor?
New version of theGP1979 mod came out recently and also Love playing the RACE conversion mod for rfactor although its not legal lol, still great fun to drive on!

Yep they are like the offical forums really and a lot of info on there.
I also like rfactorcentral.com. Shame I have GTR, but the multiplayer was not that great from what i remember, and doesnt it have that starforce rubbish?
haha lol, so it goes back and forth lol. The RACE game got converted to rFactor as a mod which is excellent. suppose rfactor stuff has to go the other way too 😛
were can u get the race mod from mugs?
i have been racing the f1c mod by limpy with the NAR guys (no aids racing) it uses the rfactor bmw 07 physics and is good fun to race
