nah blue never got the login from me 🙁 i 4got..
we will lose at least 2 weeks forum posts if i manage to restore the database (50/50 on that as well, as a restores never been tried !)
if the restore did fail, obviously same as here, its a new start, i backed up the database to the forum server then downloaded the lot onto my desktop, so im going to go hide in that folder until somethings sorted out !
i will not come out, i am going there to sob in the corner of said folder, the mrs is going to pop in with cups of tea and cake in an attempt to cheer me up. it will not work until i can restore the website.
if anyone want to come join me in the folder there more than welcome to join the sit in, but roll your own spliffs. i got at least an oz of skunk so im ok for a few days yet.. 🙄
my passwords being rejected on the FTP, so i can’t find anything out.. just hope frag stops by with his horse and cart soon..
not that he can do anything on a bank holiday either 😥

and on that note…
where can i tie up my horse ?you were hit the same as us, via vWar, that was the only thing i didnt admin on our site, until the attack, so i missed the update..
were still using vwar, just updated now !
make sure you do the right chmod on what it tell you, being lazy and chmod 777 to all in vwar folder is a bent over pants down moment !we got away from free forums, less chance of being hacked if it isn’t free to all.. may be an option for you.
am also swopping forum hosts soon, our games server provider rackage, are hosting web servers soon 🙂
