    Up and running again, now, although I still have not reinstalled SF.

    Can someone remind me of the trick to stop the videos playing on startup?

    Fair point – train looks a bit rubbish. Over 2.5 hours for just 45 miles FFS!

    Maybe coach? Or get a lift with someone. If Beer comesfrom Sheffield, then there maybe a better train from Manchester to there.

    Not even that, probably. Manchester city centre to the middle of Matlock is just 46 miles.

    How close do you want? Your back garden? 😆

    PS: As of today it looks like I’m out of a job (EA closing my office), so unless the wife complains I should be up for it. I can always claim I’m going for an interview – although not wearing a suit may be a problem.

    Still not sorted this 🙁

    It now looks like the uninstalls I did have screwed BF2 uninstall info – I cannot either uninstall BF2 or even reapply the 1.3 patch. If I try to do either, then I get a message saying unable to locate BF2 install location.

    This is really crap. Uninstalling other apps should not affect anything else. Bloody crappy installation programmers – I used to do this for a living and it is really not hard. Grrrrrr 😡

    So do you guys use TS instead of in-game Voip? Or do the two work together?

    I just managed to get my new mic working last night (at long bloody last), but kept missing the damn B key. Every time I look down to check, some bugger shot me.

    I can’t chew gum and fart at the same time either 😛
