some really good games last night. i dropped the graphics down to low in order to get a decent frame rate and it was a far better experience
currently the games available are for me not big enough draws to justify forking out £700 for VR. the other aspsect as mentioned is space on the vive to make it a more immersive experience.
there are some games which i can see VR being a fantastic experience, mainly those where the player is in a static position within the game world. in a tank/aircraft/spaceship for example. which while i have elite its is about the only game i own that i can immediately see any merit for ahving it. and i cant spend that sort of money for 1 game or to find out if any of the other games in my collection that would work.
i really wish that Valve/HTC and the Rift has a lower price point. i understand the need to recover development costs etc but the price is not something many people can realistically drop on a piece of hardware. if the uptake of the hardware isnt enough i cant see game devs making games specifically for VR as the market wont be large enough to justify it.

i spent last night watching some footage of my games from the other evening and realised i really need to improve 🙂 i look like a proper spanner trying to hit people as rheinhardt 🙂
had a great time playing and being on TS with players as it made a real difference.

i have heard rumours of it being WW2 eastern front. however seeing as the press event is tomorrow we wont have to wait for long. 🙂

I’d say the weapons and vehicles would provide a natural balance between both sides much like BF42 did yet there isn’t the dependency on technology like modern but still technologically further ahead than WW2.
yeah that would be a great period of time to base a battlefield game in.
