That sounds then like they’ve all been created as private channels, or perhaps, like on private TS server, we have to register with the server and be granted rights by an admin. If this is the case, I’d suggest we change it, however on the server I’ve used in the guide I can move from channel to channel no problem.
Oh and btw could someone just confirm this IP and port for the actual Ventrillo server as being:
IP – 85.236.100.19

Yea you double click on the channel, exactly the same way as in TS. Unless the server settings are messed up, I can’t think of why that wasn’t working for you.
Ahh right I see, but with ts back on nobody will bother trying Vent. Anyone remember Andy trying to test his own teamspeak server? With our normal server still up, nobody could be arsed moving, even temporarily.

If we’re serious about trying it, you need to remember this is XDC. We need at least a week before we have a few people aware we’re trying something, another week before they are even willing to try it, and another week (at least) before enough bother working out how to use the damn thing.
Yea sure they should remake 42, but as long as the aerial power was balanced. It’ll never live up to the original though, as the concept is no longer new. Introducing something like destructable terrain would be interesting though.
Not read much of this thread, but I’m sure this vent server is much better than our TS. I use several different voice channels at the moment, approx 5 Team speak servers, out of which ours is by far the worst for quality, and 2 Ventrillo. The vent servers are much clearer than even the best of the TS channels.
I’ve not seen a vent server with more than 20 people on it though, so maybe the TS servers are all set to low quality to accomodate a lot of users (even though ours has a 20-25 person limit, we’re on multiplays server so they probably manage this anyways).
