    Since I see you lurking there silver, just need to ask whether that was infact you on last night? Damn your silenced p90 if it was. Really surprised me how effective it was on an open map like kharg. Good job.

    It’s also something I looked at recently but wasn’t happy with the styles on show, as it looked like we’d lose some of the forum structure we have currently plus I wondered how easily user access groups could be setup. Losing the current archive would also be hard to stomach, and was a concern of mine as well, though that article lammie paints a better picture of it than i’d originally picked up myself. It wouldn’t be the first time we’ve moved forum so if it’s a lot better, and easier to integrate than the current setup, then i’m sure we’ll cope. I did post above what appears and easy way to integrate phpbb into a wordpress theme though and since the lookbook thing sounds as if it’s designed to integrate a blog and forum, it may not be necessary. Having said that i’m keeping an open mind atm concerning all aspects of the site and a working example of this may be good to see. Would it take long to knock up our own example, without worrying about themes or content, just to assess function?

    It’s strange looking at a logo that doesn’t have bugs, but that’s a good effort ben. I’m not sure if have it will fit in there, but one thing that should is jonny’s slogan for us back in the day “wasting time since ’99”. I think that would be better that online from 99, though well done on the ryhme.

    Might be an idea to try and balance the teams a bit better as they were pretty stacked at some points last night and theres nothing that puts people off more then stacked teams.     The team balance at times was a bit skewed, so I had been considering this myself as well. The autobalance function seems to kick in at the end of a round and in other servers i’ve noticed winning players being switched onto the losing team with no regard given to their contribution towards the victory, which is a little annoying for people who like their stats, though i’ve yet to check whether battlelog actually records a loss. On the otherhand we do need to ensure the teams don’t become stacked too heavily as it’s not fun for either team.

    Oh and before I go to bed, thanks to all who turned up tonight, especially occa, silversides, and the rats who came along. We had some good games in there, and even saw the odd random turn up when we peaked around 13 or 14 players. That was likely close to hitting the tipping point where the server would take off, though it wasn’t to be this evening. It is hard to tell though how successful this is going to be, but we can only keep trying and see what happens.

    Yea that’s an idea. I could use certain words while abusing paddy as a code of sorts 🙂 It should fit quite easily into normal conversation.

    One thing we could do with btw is a new logo, because as much as we like bugs, we can’t really use it on youtube or facebook.

    Oh that was the one after nose hair, kharg…tonight I actually skipped firestorm in favour of a smaller map when there were just 6 of us left, but it’s after karg, followed by caspian. Had lined them up in a sort of progression from infantry based maps, introducing armour and air slowly towards a sort of air whore peak with firestorm and caspian; working on the theory that when an air map switches to heavy infantry, you lose all the jet and chopper whores, wiping out the server population. Had been trying to ease us back again towards infantry using the likes of oman, sharqi, and karky, but had forgotten about the B2K effect on the server.

    Had been hoping to keep it simpler than that, but I guess I’m going to have to learn how to edit anyway, so yea will probably do that.

    Just checked and we show up with normal filter turned off in battelog.
