The USB version of the Medusa headset is software driven so as chaos says get the other one as it uses ya soundcard and has it’s own amp also. Quite frankly the usb version is a waste of time. I think the medusa is great. On my second set now cos I broke the last set by dropping them on the floor.
You’ll also find they seem a bit heavy but you’ll get used to em 😉
I’d check the medusa threads over in the overclockers.co.uk forums before taking the plunge. The failure rate on these things is abyssmal. Remember you’re paying only £30 for a pair of headphones so you’re getting what you pay for. I didn’t like them – far too heavy on the head – and the sound quality is at best mediocre – but the deep bass seems to win people over.
Id recommend the medusa unreservedly – thanks to Turks for finding it super cheap on the interweb a couple of years ago – I still use em 🙂
