I’m not sure how big the PSP box is, but for £7 I’d expect it delivered by Salma Hayek in a bikini.
He might not be responsible for when it arrives, but he sold you something and it should arrive. If I buy something from Amazon and they say “sorry it got lost in the post”, then they give me a refund. End of.
If you’re paying £7 for P&P then you should get your money’s worth. If he’s only spent £3.50 on posting it then he’s cut back on delivery costs and lied in the ad.
Here’s the thing: If he’s sent it recorded post and it was signed for then he’s got proof that it arrived with you. He’s covered his own back that it arrived, so if you start making up a story he can say that it did. The problem is now the Post Office’s.
If he’s just sent it first class (which I think £7 is more than) then he has no record to prove he sent it OR to be sure you recieved it. That to me sounds like he doesn’t want to prove either way, which sounds dodgy to me.
How did you pay for it BTW?
August 17, 2006 at 5:20 pm #31657TurksMeisterParticipantPaypal…
But surely if he doesnt advertise it as recorded then he does not have to send it recorded…
Basically I will start the “Item has not arrived” procedure tomorrow if it hasn’t arrived.
Double Grrr!

Note: i do have both machines (got my PSP free with a moblie phone contract 😉 ) and i find the PSP i use more for watching videos and music rather than gaming. DS i use for gaming 😉 since thats what its ment to do 🙂
If I end up getting my money back, how would you like to sell me your psp for £77?!
(PS what contract was that… sounds bloody good!)

True but why not? He could easily have sent it recorded for £7. Sounds suspish to me.

August 17, 2006 at 5:59 pm #31660TurksMeisterParticipantBasically I was so happy with the buy it now price of £7, I didnt care about the high postage… you live and learn aye?!
Going to call him again tomorrow, ask him when he sent it, etc and inform him that I am starting the ebays not recieval procedure… and see what happens from there.
I hope you boys and girls are learning valuable lessons from this!!
August 17, 2006 at 6:27 pm #31661VooParticipantTurks i got it from this site
http://www.e2save.com at the time the PSP was on offer on a V3Razor phone on orange that had 200mins free a month on it and didn’t have to pay for the phone. (12month contract @ £30) though the current offers are alot better than when i did it since orange brought out there new animal name scheme
Check out the site see what offers are about on what providers. I know theres sometimes offers for a Free Xbox360 too
I have 6months left on my contract so i’m prolly going to do the same again next year depending on what free gifts are on offer at the time.
Here’s the link to all the phone offers with PSP as a gift
http://www.e2save.com/mobile/phones/category.php?category=psp
(alot of the PSP’s are the standard value pack though there is a couple on the last page that contain the giga pack which is the one i got, bascially saves you haveing to fork out £50 on a 1gig stick)It takes 28days for you PSP to arrive (from the day you recieve the phone) and mine did promptly too 🙂

Well, like Wipers posted (and linked to the costs) £7 for postage would be for up to something weight about 2kg, and I seriously doubt that a PSP weights that much!
Plus as far as I can see, the guy’s ebay record is only for things he’s brought, not for things he’s sold, so by complaining you might be doing it a great deal of harm.
August 18, 2006 at 10:33 am #31663TurksMeisterParticipant*Cough*
He sent it recorded afterall!
*Cough*
(Still hasnt arrived though…)
*Turks is relieved but feeling a little bit guilty for jumping to conclusions … *

August 18, 2006 at 10:41 am #31664TurksMeisterParticipantAm I right in presuming that if you are not in when a parecl arrives, it goes back to the post office depot (it being first class recorded?) Presumably the postman could have rung the doorbell but not left a card (Our postoffice is renound for being bollocks!)
August 18, 2006 at 10:50 am #31665XDCiNSANEParticipantyou need a card to collect it.. no card.. no postage I think
phone your local depot.. OR go online and do the tracking thing.. assuming you got the delivery thingie..
August 19, 2006 at 2:04 am #31666TurksMeisterParticipanthave asked him for the delivery number… fuck me this is long winded!

Ill vouch for that – I still have nightmares about that day 2 years ago 🙂
August 19, 2006 at 2:23 pm #31668TurksMeisterParticipantBloody hell was it 2 years?!
When will the prodigal son be returning?
August 19, 2006 at 7:02 pm #31669LensmanParticipantTurks – when you pick up something from the post office the normally require proof of identiy such as driving licence or a utility bill for the address. If you think you may have been sent something but the cat ate the chit (aka the crap postman), you could go down to the local depot with this proof and just say you are expecting a parcel to that address. They should be able to look it up for you.
Just a thought….
August 20, 2006 at 4:57 pm #31670TurksMeisterParticipantcool beans… will look in to it tomorrow before work
