Just bought the Nostromo .. have to say.. its a sexual piece of kit.. everthing at me fingertips.. just gonna install it now

I thought that first keyboard you was looking at was alot better.
I got a G15 – love the apps for it. It doesn’t feel very good as a general keboard. Havn’t used the macros yet as ya don’t need em for Oblivion or BF2
I did try to do a macro for BF2 to get my pistol badge but I couldn’t get the timings right – give up after 10 minutes and ain’t touched em since
Guy at work says it’s the mutz nutz for playing WOW (casting spells n stuff)
Well i have found use for it in WoW since i can do werid keycombos for certain buttons (like ctrl-alt-shift-a) and assign it to 1 G key and it does the key combo for me ๐
i think it would have its uses in BF2 for maybe the info screens etc. (ie it could free up a mouse button for me and use a G key to call up the com’s menu)
Yes the keyboard does take a getting use to since its alot larger length wise (i’m still misplaceing my hand and pressing the wrong keys and i’ve had this thing 3months :p)
i think if your RTS fan too the G keys could come in really handy.
i think the biggest asset it has in the LCD display its great for voice com’s and theres so many apps coming out for it too, i currently run Teamspeak mod,MSN mod, G-Key peeker (lets you see what each of the G keys is doing for a game profile your currently using) plus theres one that runs with FRAPS too ๐
And can the alternate functions for numbers 1-0 be reprogrammed to what they should be on a UK keyboard? I notice the symbols are different (when you press shift and then a number…)

I cant see the pro’s of that G15 keyboard what so ever.. it looks like a normal keyboard layout with some extra keys on the left and a gimmicky LCD screen.. fook your blue lights.. anyone knows you should always have the lights on when on a PC..
now then his nostromo.. ok it has no “Lights” but it does its job and its a good layout with all at fingertips.. i got a pre defined keyboard layout of a forum and made a few adjustments meself
takes a bit of getting used to but hasnt stopped me from playing BF2 as normal ๐
Space bar is a lil low.. but I remapped jump to the up DPad and prone to Down DPad … and map is spacebar
fits like a glove and is adjustable
pretty chuffed with it tbh
on another hand.. I’m claiming on my house insurance for the zboard i spilt coffee on! ๐

p.s. I review this as an FPS keyboard.. it might well be good for N3rds Of Warcraft though

Actually im quite tempted by the Nostromo as it would allow me to get a wireless keyboard too, to save some space…. ooooh the decisions
