BattleField 2142 – Server Update

First of thanks to everyone who helped test the initial BF2142 stability update we announced earlier.
This has now authorised for release by DICE as it does provided quite a few improvements with regard stability.This is the first update that has been released as just a server side fix, so no need to spend ages updating your client, something Multiplay has personally been instigated with EA / DICE in our goal to bring you guys what you deserve.
The update has just been applied to all Windows based servers which required a restart, do enjoy.
BattleField 2142 – Unlocks issue

Some of you may have had the issue where you join a server and don’t receive your unlocks.Well we’ve written a ModManager module which tracks the details of unlock requests and logs them so we can help EA / Dice / GameSpy locate and hence fix the issue.
The bad news is that this issue is random and we have been having real trouble capturing it while it was happening.
The good news is that thanks to a support call this morning from one the members from the Monkehs clan we have now captured this issue and have sent the details off to GameSpy which will hopefully lead to a fairly quick fix.
In the mean time if you have this rejoining the server a few mins later will usually correct the situation.
It’s not just the unlocks that are fecked (well not mine) but the awards are all over the shop.
I’m missing a ribbon and medal from last night. In addition to that I have the ground base defence medalion and I’m over 100 repair point short to actualy meeting the requirement to have it 😕
Ribbons n shit seem to jhave screwed up since the downtime last Tuesday – can’t comment how bad it’s gone as I haven’t played as much 2142 as of late – didn’t even play it AT ALL yesterday 😛 But yeah once I got 2 ribbons I had already earned awarded to me again, which was strange and stranger on another occasion I busted my balsl for a gold medal and got it, but it wasn’t saved, but oddly the points were still added to my career total.
