    Just as a warning my COD4 profile decided to wipe itself just after I had been promoted to Commander, so you can gather my usual cheery temperament was not the greatest(sorry to all the guys that had to listen to me whinge yet again)
    Anyway I’ve had to start from scratch but you can make a copy of the file just so it doesnt happen to anyone else. it’s in the profiles directory of the game and I think it’s called multicfg or something very similar.

    make a copy and you’ll be covered unlike gubbins here.

    Been an issue since release, its all client based, so you should back it up everytime you rank so as not to be upset when it dissapears.. I think someone posted this (possibly Madmax) a while back

    anyhoos, just backup your MPDATA folder OR better still your whole profile, that should do the trick 🙂

    so if they’re client side then they can be manipulated right???

    yeh after i lost mine for the 2nd time i googled around and found a way to put someone elses stats onto yours by swapping a few files and changing the cd key to match the profile then swapping it back..

    worked a treat for me
