ParticipantI loved Track Mania Nations and still have it installed on my PC but will get this too.
Also another game which I’ve been playing is Project-Torque http://project-torque.aeriagames.com” onclick=”window.open(this.href);return false; again completely free download and you earn upgrades and unlocks the more you racing buy earning RP points. You also have to earn Licences before you can unlock or use certain upgrades and cars but it’s really good fun.
You can buy specific cars through micro transaction that give you AP which you can also use to buys certain upgrades but essentially if you don’t want to spend and money you don’t have to.

I gawd i hatd that game, the most anyoying pile of steaming crap i’ve ever had the misfortune to attempt to play for an evening.
As i wrote on the Rats forum……..
This is the most annoying game ive ever tried….and not in a love/ hate way, it really got on my tits. From the two hour update to the…
registration and crap password limitations…
the menu buttons sound effect that made me feel like i was tapped on the head constaly…
slow menu loads…
sitting in a race lobby for ages cos some cockbadger has gone afk and not clicked ready…and thats all before we start racing, sure it takes time to learn tracks and a game but ffs, i quit the tutorial after a 1 min due to it trying to teach a 3 year old, i now what a god damn mini map is thanks.
and whats with the esc/ repair thing, dont put a fecking trackor trailer in the one position im going to end up and i wont need it.
and why can i hear birds tweeting, frogs croaking, and ducks doing whatever they do at 100mph? huh? huh?
and yes i did crash alot and come last, bastards
/endeth rant
Each to their own though eh 😉

ParticipantTBH, why bother buying racing games when there are these brilliant multiplayer games (I was playing flawlessly with 150+ players before) for free?
Had a blast, the tracks are uch more varied than before, but the gameplay is much the same. Must dash now, but will be on later. Might make some maps for thias later on!
Ciao

ParticipantWell it is obviously a demo for TrackMania United the paid for game, a very impressive demo with alot of downloads and bordering on a game in its-self, if a few percent of those downloads go on to purchase the game then it’s a win.
For once the French have done good 😀

KeymasterWhen you say almost a full game in itself is it similar to trackmania nations, the original free version? I’ll be downloading it later anyway though.

KeymasterHas anyone tried this yet with 3d glasses? I just noticed there’s a 3d glasses option for graphics 🙂

ParticipantWell I bought the “full” version and it is quite a bit different, apart from the stadium there are a load of other venuse to race in. The arcadey style and easy gameplay appeal to me, and the piss easy track editors. I presume no one else is going to really get into this game, but it is worth a giggle, especially the amount you can do in the free version!
