It was great to get on a server and see some familiar names 🙂

Just been playing Rush (conquest is still by far the best 🙂 ) on 7DR’s.
How long do those games last ! I got bored, plus had to be up early, so ended up leaving before the game ended!
Just a damn shame about auto balance (or lack of)
I actually prefer rush over conquest, but you are right they take too long – was kicking ass last night but then got dreaded BSOD 🙁

rush is a great game mode, especially if the teams are well balanced. if not its crap as one side just flattens the other in a matter of minutes.
lack of auto balance is a real problem but so long as admins are on its not too bad.
P.S whats the Hussars server called? i found one called Hussars gerbil something or other but wasnt sure if that was the right one
Well i managed a couple goes on random servers last night with the Join Battle option, i’ve yet to actually play on a server of my choice as when i finally get refreshed list clicking a server = ctd.
Looks nice though. I did enjoy rapeing other n00bs in my tank like the good ole days, engineer ftw 🙂
Latest update seems to have fixed my ctd problem and it all ran smoothly for a couple of hours on the hussars server last night. Imho its a good hybrid of BF2 and CoD Modern Warefare, it’s nearly got the pace of CoD and vehicles of BF2 without that annoying radar, i can be a sneaky fecker again.

Some of you may remember me and/or Cows with Guns (cWg) or [KT16] from years ago from CSS and some other games.
I played on your BF2 server now and then. I used to work with Judge_Mental when he was in the UK is my other XDC claim to fame 😆Anyways, since you have a lengthy thread about this game, thought I’d chip in, say “hi!” and shameless plug my clans new server for BFBC2.
Server name is just “Cows With Guns” (search seems to be case sensitive), 24 slots, just got it for 6 months initially.
You’re all most welcome to join if you fancy a game and ever get stuck for a half decent server to join.
We try to play as a team, doesn’t usually work but it’s the thought that counts

This was brought to my attention in work today, regarding the hardware issues I’ve been having:
There’s plenty of crap in that thread, but the gist of it is that being a console port the game is putting a lot of the load onto the processoer which would normally be handled by the GPU, which confirms my old single core processor as the source of my problems. Good news though is that I think I’ve found away to afford an upgrade sooner than first thought, so I could be joining you on the battlefield again shortly (at least in between games of TF2 ;))
Are you guys running a server? I can’t remember if you are or not.
