Half a day’s playing and not one single crash! hurrah! And lots of good team games, too 🙂

I got to get Fraps installed so I can take screenies. Just been in a convoy behind a guy in a stolen truck which had 5-7 enemy corpses in the back, one draped over the mounted gun and another in the cab. Quite a dramatic get-up if taken into account with the scorches and pockmarks… We were talking about selling it on eBay as a ‘Used’ item. That was a couple of minutes before I threw a nade at a guy I was supposed to be saluting and killed our whole team. It was so funny, I choked.

Earlier, spent time on a big mission centred on the capture of Ortego, a town I hadn’t ‘visited’ before. It’s a lovely place. There were some ace helo pilots on, ferrying respawners to LZ’s and jump zones which we’d planned. They were also taking out vehicles with rockets and dropping snipres etc onto rooftops with pinpoint accuracy. When I was wounded, rascal came and picke dme up from the top of the citadel and arranged for me to hook up with a medic. It was class!

Also played some of the ‘Hold’ games that nOm likes so much. They’re v cool. I was a bit daunted by the scale of it all… You know in BF, you attack a flag, sit there for a minute and it’s yours. In Hold, the flags might be in a town centre: you’ve got ot fight your way in amongst the streets and houses, gradually closing in on the objective. If you get it, you have to decide whether to dig-in and defend or continue the sweep onwards. At one point, I was nearly cornered but had just enough time to rpg a wall and escape through the hole I made before the infantry and tank closed in on me. This game rocks!

In other news, Magicker has graciously agreed to create an Armed Assault area in the forum.

    -Fenix out
