Been playin mostly Xbox360. Still venture into PC Games now and again and as mentioned play WoW now and again too. (not as Hardcore and as Minti, Mouse,or Hippy the sad feckers :P) My PC is over 4 years old and I cannot be arsed to get back into that constant hardware upgrage cycle again and to be honest I can think of better ways of spend £600 – £700 quid only to have to do it again in 12 – 18 months time.
The main problem is that there isn’t any decent games that both unite us an keep us interested for more that 3 or 4 weeks if’ we’re lucky. I not sure it’s entirely fair to lay this blame purely at MMORPG’S or Consoles as there a so many other external factors that seem to influence our availabilty to get us all together anyway. Unless something truely complelling is released for the PC and doesn’t require people spending extra money on hardware just to run the game in the first instance then we’re always going to be up against it.
Consoles are a no brainer, a third of the cost of a mid range PC, no fannying around updating drivers, hardware ,etc. Simply turn on, put in disc and play.
I still believe there is some middle ground to be had somewhere but it seems that majority are only really interested in Battlefield and other FPS Games which kind of narrows what brings us together in the first place. I personally thing those hanging on the the belief that BF3 will be the next big thing to bring us all together will be sorely dissapointed and the usual moans and groans about EA releasing a buggy pile of shit and why don’t they test these things before they get shipped…., then the inevitable day 1 patch that pisses people of even more and before you know it we’re back to where we are now.
I shall try to be at the meeting on Sunday, but if I can’t make it here’s my points for discussion….
i) I think people need to decide if this is a Gaming Clan in the traditonal sense and has more diversity or primarily only interested in FPS type games.
ii) I agree things need to be a little more structured but without the rigidity we see on other gaming clan sites because that is simply not the XDC way. Maybe we just need a few volunteers to try and keep things ticking over organising things ?
iii) Do we need some new blood to breath some life into the forums? I’m sure in the last year or so we have all frequented different servers and games and come across some decent people that would make good additions to the forum not necessarily full blown XDC Members but still genuinely good people that would participate and contribute to the few topics that are posted.
iv) Do we just abandon ship and merge, or squat on someone else’s forum, Rats, Hssrs?
Anyhoo I’ll try to be there but if not here’s my 2 cents.

I think he is trying to better my scores 😛 Agreed tho that it can be seriously frustrating sometimes but still one of those games you put down and comeback to it again in a few days to try and complete.

Aye, downloaded demo moons ago but couldn’t be arsed to renew my gold membership so couldn’t play it which is utter bollocks.
But as the Elite has come down sub £200 thought I would treat myself 😀
Upgraded my aging 2 year old Xbox360 Premium to a nice new Xbox Elite 😀

Gonna download the demo first and play a few rounds before purchasing.
Currently using 32″ Samsung LCD TV which was surplus to requirements (don’t ask long story) not the higest resolution but perfectly fine for what I use it for game wise, also got a Sky+, DVD Player and Xbox 360 hooked up to it 😀
Downloaded demo from Marketplace. Completed demo and although the visuals aren’t too bad found the overall gameplay to be a little one dimensional. Not sure I would pay a tenner for the full game but each to their own I guess.

Ok… how much of a differnce do the different mhz of ram have? ie 800mhz over 1066mhz – both 4gb?
Depends which Mobo you’re going for if the board supports 1066Mhz on the system bus then it makes sense you by memory that will run at the same speed and the bus architechture. 1066Mhz should be pretty standard on most new Mobo’s anyway as most of the highend board are running 1666Mhz now.
