what a palaver to install this update! I will put up my issues to see if they help at all
first off I saw no mention of an update in Origin, so I assumed it had been d/led and applied automatically like steam does, but it hadn’t (I may have turned this feature off though).Having assumed that it was updated I went on to battlelog to log onto the XDC server to find my favourites have been wiped (not happy about that and our server will have to start again iof this has happened to others in terms of building up a player base!
Anyway Battlelog helpfully informed me that my game was not up to date and offered a button to “update”. I clicked on this and it took me to the origin store, which I thought was odd so I right clicked on BF3 in origin and clicked “check for updates” and it told me my game was up to date, so I went back to battlelog and checked there, same message, game was not up to date and the update button took me to the origin store again!
Eventually after about an hour of searching the boards I found a solution to this problem from the original patch, you have to right click on BF3 in Origin and click “repair install” which will check that your files are up to date, and this led to a download. Hopefully it will work when I get it started!
What a right royal fuck up, especially if I can’t get my favorites back!
I have no recollection of a 22 kill streak though, given I won’t forget last nights 15 – 0 (although that had the added benefit of surviving the entire game without being killed!) If i did get a 22 kill streak you can bet it was followed by a 48 death streak!
Maybe your kill streak bonus is ironic and it’s the number of deaths oin a row you’ve had unanswered! Sounds more like it!
anyone know what the Killstreak bonus is for? I’m at 22 and I don’t recall killing 22 people without dying, but it’s just possible, I went 15 – 0 last night in a tank!
Wasn’t it something to do with turks which ended up with someone renaming themselves smartaity and everyone else lined up next to a van and he tked his own team a few times, just to get his stats down. It was hilarious, and a little bit naughty!
he’s in a clan with xdogheadx who has been on the server a few times, think I may have kicked him once for base raping, but that’s happened a few times of late! and also Tuxey who was asking about a friendly, think someone directed him to the forums.
