    I’ve not given a lot of thought to the map order, so feel free to come up with your own suggestions, however I’ve changed it so we now start on Grand Bazaar since that was when the server really got going last night. Aside from this change you’ll notice I’ve also added in Caspian Border, which was for some reason missing previously. There has also been a request to reduce the number of rounds on conquest, and this has been done.

    Finally, are there objections to me changing Metro to rush mode? I think the conquest version is terrible, but if anyone disagrees we can put it up for a vote.

    Here’s the full rotation:

    Grand Bazaar
    Teheran Highway
    Seine Crossing
    Noshahar Canals
    Kharg Island
    Operation Firestorm
    Caspian Border
    Damavand Peak
    Metro (two rounds of rush)

    oh and could someone who’s been on throughout the rotation confirm whether this is working correctly – in particular has it switched to metro at any time?

    Have to say i really enjoyed metro in rush mode last night, it was intense and had some quality firefights, i for one would like this continue in the rotation.

    Also beer mentioned 2 of the maps i forget could do with having extra rounds, i agree with that also

    IMO, Kharg Island, Operation Firestorm & Caspian Border all need 2 round, they are true battlefield maps and can we have some discussion about making them true Large scale maps. It only makes 2 extra cap points, but I think makes the maps more playable.

    Also, I know we have only paid for a 32 man server ( and i know we haven’t started making donations yet), but I’d love to up the player number to 40 or 48 with all maps on the large scale. I’ve played on a few 40 player server and it play’s great without the manic headless chicken senario of the 64 player servers.

    I quite like seine crossing as a true BF map and wouldn’t mind two rounds on that as well. Next time the server’s empty I’ll reset the rounds for the ones mentioned…at least see how it goes.

    I would love to do this as well, as was the case on our server with Kharki and Sharqui in the past, however EA have not yet made this possible on a 32 player server. I’ll make enquiries regarding the cost in upgrading our player count (we may need this anyway for fitting XDC on the server given how many of us are on my friends list again!). We’ll need to find a balance between the ridiculously manic 64 servers, so if everyone can try out some 40 and 48 servers when things are quiet, then venture an opinion, we can make a decision….maybe someone could bring Pharty out of retirement to create a poll 🙂

    Have to say I was surprised by finding myself really enjoying it last night as well, particularly the last round which provided some classic moments. Following the evening server crash I also joined Space on a random Rush server and again was surprised to find myself enjoying the games. Some of the rush maps are wide enough to avoid that corridor feel of BC2, so we could maybe consider setting up a rush night from time to time, especially once everyone’s settled into the feel of the game. Oh and Damamand Peak has that epic skydiving stage on it’s rush version 🙂

    Ah thats the map I’ve been looking for, that sky diving looks superb.. need to ty that

    Put it on in the rotation, Breaks it up a bit, not too many rush modes but Metro and that will do nicely and see how it goes please! 🙂

    What we can also do is switch whenever we fancy a go at it, just mention it on ts and we’ll give it a blast.

    n0m…..any chance of an upgrade ? Believe me if you can run this on high,the gameplay merits it,especially when playing with fellow XDC boys,it’s a beauty that will more than do us until EA announce BF43, surely the technology,graphics cards, have made it the time to revisit that era ??????

    I’m blown away with how good it looks and plays !!!

    Its the graphs that do it for me,ultra all the way,but it still looks fantastic on high,anything less would be sacrilege in my humble
