Just an update: Got my Raven online!!!
Hi: 6x Arbalest Siege Launchers, 1x Tractor beam (L1 loot on L4 misisons FTW!!) and the last slot I can’t use yet but putting a Drone Link Augmentor in there when the skills have trained.
Med: 1x XLarge Shield Booster, 1x Target Painter, 3x Shield Hardeners (1 multi and 2 race specific), 1x Cap recharger II
Lo: 5x Power Diagnostic System II
I know really I should whack a BCS II in the lows but I’m hoping the extra cap/shield buffs from the extra PDS or 2 and training missile skills should balance things out a bit better. Maybe when I trained for Tech 2 XLarge booster I’ll drop in a BCU though 🙂
Off to my first L4 misison …. I’ll maybe have a win but a hard fight hehe. Chances are though I’ll just lose the ship I spent months training/scrimping and saving for 😛 My drone skills sort of suck so frigates will be giving me a hard time, but currently improving drone skills are at the top of my list 🙂

Also blown 15-20 mill on a new ECM ship, learning from the mistakes we made the other week with the Blackbird. My ship will pretty much have fuck all damage capability, but it should be able to ECM and survive just fine.
My secret weapon is …. the noob frigate Griffin!!!
It will be able to lock on to ships faster than the BB could, be harder to lock onto and have anti-drone and anti-missile defences. To keep the cap flowing I put a buy order out for 1000 cap booster charges hehe – gonna need my cargo bay full of em 😛 Will only be of any use in a gang, but that’s all the ship would ever be good for anyway.

Well my first L4 mission didn’t really go as planned. As my luck would have it I got 1 of the hardest L4 misisons out there, so my raven was pretty shite basically. Fortunately I didn’t lose my raven and warped out in time, but ooh it was close – lost a small bit of armor which cost 16k to fix =/ I’ve since swapped 2/3 of the racial active hardeners for passives, the last hardener for a shield boost amp (to save on cap) and I’m training up their passive resist bonuses. I dropped a PDS II from lows and plonked in a named damage control in there – with it’s resists (especially for the hull) @ 2 capacitor per minute it’s more than worth it. I’ve also fitted a Heavy Nos to help keep my cap topped up, but bleh about 3 weeks of training before I can use my tech 2 shield booster/amplifier. I’m also swopping torpedos for cruise missiles, granted the torps did seriously kick some ass when they landed, but because of their low speed and their need for close range (bringing me closer TO the damage too…) my tank wasn’t up to it so I’m back training cruise missiles to get a bit of range between me and my adversaries. I’m also training some of the lower level missile skills for an allround improvement in missile performance. Due to no longer using torpedos I’ve unfitted my target painter and replaced it with an Inv Field, cap shouldn’t be as bad now I’m only running 1 active hardener instead of 3. Cash got tight so to get the new fittings for my new setup I had to strip fittings from ships I’m not using (caracal, my brand new ECM griffin =/) to pay for it all 😳 On the plus side that damned agent finally gave me an 80k LP implant offer, sold the lot for 106 mill and now I got 2 parts of my uber implant set: Crystal Alpha and a ZML1000 (5% faster missile velocity).
Use the same controls you use to steer jeeps and other ground vehicles to steer it 🙂

Scientists say a bid to encourage giant pandas to breed by showing them ‘panda porn’ has paid off.
They claim to have sparked a baby boom among the endangered animals by showing them DVDs of pandas mating.
“It works,” Zhang Zhihe, a leading Chinese expert, told the Xinhua news agency.
Pandas are notoriously poor breeders and the ‘panda porn’ movies were just one of many techniques used to encourage them to breed.
In the first 10 months of this year 31 cubs were born in captivity in China and 28 survived, said Zhang.
That’s an increase from 12 births in 2005 and just nine in 2000. Of this year’s births, 14 came through natural breeding, while artificial insemination or a combination of the two produced the rest.
Now comes the next test – getting the trick to work outside China.
The day of reckoning will come in January, when Prasertsak Buntragulpoontawee hopes male Chuang Chuang and partner Lin Hui will mate in Thailand.

hmm theory test ain’t that hard – I had no sleep, no food, no revision, an infection and had to travel to Oldham on the train next to guy who wanted to show me his cock, but I still passed it first time with 34/35 🙂
The only advice I can give you on your practical test is don’t treat it as a test because then you will only get nervous and fuck up. Treat it like you’re out on a sunday drive with a m8 then your worries fly right out the window and you can relaxxx!! The more you think the more you fail, if you’re ready and relaxed a lot of the basics will come naturally to you.
My examiner seemed like a boring bastard but he was sort off unny too – anyone who reaches out to shake his hand after their test he refuses to shake it, then comes up with some bullshit like it would aggrovate an old injury.

The problem is EA don’t give a shit when they’ve got your money and now they have it, they never will =/
The only fair thing for EA to do would be to keep medals and badges but just remove the leaderboard, so there is no visual indication of who > who, but you can still be proud of your shiny badge collection as some of them can be quite difficult to earn.
The only thing we can do is grab noobs from here and there and point them in the right direction and guide the lost souls before they become corrupted!!! Then train them in terrorist-style camps to scour the servers ona crusade-esque mission to rid the game off statpadding asshats 😛
I’m voting it’s multiplay again. Even with all your server fuckuos before the patch, every other server out there was fine. May even be to do with the clanforge setup itself, methinks.
