I wouldn’t be surprised if I wasn’t dead in the next 5 years though – you’d think I would have been dead decades ago – heck this November it’s my 10 year anniversary of learning to walk again after being mutilated by a Japanese Akita amongst many other things that last crash would have killed most men. Nope the world is much more twisted than that and a fate much worse than death awaits me – living 😥
Duh you tard if you’re still paying for the house then it still isn’t yours – until it’s paid in full. Lets say your car costs 3x as much. Does that make it 3x better? I’m not going to bother dignifying you a response for most of the above as it’s no one else’s business and as your mother would tell you don’t do your laundry in public, but suffice to say there are reasons which you ain’t privvy to.

Not so Wipers.. my freinds in the army and other m8s who are tradesmen use T-Mobile’s Web’N’Walk – granted the ping would be too shit for gmaing, but it’s a decent speed with a reasonable monthly allowance and it will work pretty much anywhere their mobile phones can pick up a signal. Anyhow a lot of the uglier birds don’t bother cropping the images, they take their picture from a mirror image to make them look purdy 😮

I’m obviously not a goodie 2 shoes, but I didn’t watch it illegally either.
I’ve been waiting well over ayear for this since I heard news it was in production, but to avoid having high expectations then the film failing to meet them, I ignored the hype and ignored the buzz and updates to the news and trailers so the film wouldn’t end up competing against impossibly high hopes. Even with the bar set low I was still sort of disappointed 🙁
Things I liked: Return of the Transformers! Live action… decent special FX, hot chica, lasted a couple of hours instead of the usual 90 minutes, a few unfucked referneces to the 80’s.. ie the odd quote (though didn’t have the same impact) and the odd repeated action ie: like the original movie where Kup yanks up the barrel on a Tank is reenacted. Cheaping on the actors and going with unknowns to have more moolah for elsewhere 😉
Things I disliked: Lame story, lame jokes, unnecessarily over-complicated android forms, bastardisation of key elements from the 80’s ie: allspark/cube instead of the Matrix of Leadership and Vector Sigma amongst other things. Action scene cameras moved too fast, or the action was too fast to adequately see what was going on. Crap score – the original was packed with tunes relevant to the mood which helps polish the whole thing off, this didn’t have much ambient sound besides the birds and the bees =/ Transformed waaay too much.. they transform.. we get it.. but don’t need to see it every 3 seconds they move!
Things I won’t like: The CGI will look shit/outdated in 5+ years, Transformers will be cooler to the masses 🙁
Things which could have made it better: Spending a shitload more cash on the models and animation.. but using real scale models with a touch of CGI enhancement instead of pure CGI. A Gestalt for an end boss would have been cool too… something like Devastator would have been more interesting.
Things which made no sense whatsoever: Setting the whole fantasy of giant killer robots aside, towards the end why would they hide the cube in the city? Yes there are many places to hide it there, but there are a shitload of people who would die whilst the Decepticons try to find it… When they call for an evacuation with the red smoke atop a building… why bother running across half a city to get to the roof of a building, when there are a crapload of skyscrapers with flat roofs within a few paces? Why would Megatron have came to Earth alone? Why bother destroying Beagle II years before invading, then doing a half-assed job? If Bumblebee can’t project sound ie: he can’t speak.. howcome his radio works?
As with Rise of the Silver Surfer you’ll think it’s excellent if you’re a meathead though to be honest overall the film isn’t actually as bad as I make it sound, but it isn’t really anything special either.
I’d go with 7/10… not bad but certainly not film of the year, unless it’s a crap year for films? =/
Cheers again Rum found my way to the Hospital NP – the only thing I didn’t find too easily was the Neuropshysiology department!! After a bit of raoming around found it in the end and had my EEG.
To start with I was plonked in 1 of those old/lazy man recliner seat things. Then a nice young lady measured my head and decided it would be a good idea to mark it a lot with a pen! Then she rubbed the penned areas with sandpaper type stuff, then applied some gel to the areas before getting reinforcements from another lass to chuck more electrodes onto my head. Then the test began, the chair reclined and I was left alone in the dark with the lass and had to keep my eyes closed. Unfortunately I wasn’t sodomised, but on the plus side it would have made a pretty cool picture.. if I had a camera. Being a fidget it was pretty hard for me to lay still for the entire time but atleast I had some of my troubles whilst I was being tested, so hopefully the activity should have been picked up in the brain. I’m not sure if it would have made a difference or not but it would have sucked to have the scan and have been perfectly fine at the time – lets hope I can spazz out a little bit in the MRI too 😛
The thing which sucks the most now is it’s possible I may not get the results from the EEG and MRI untill Feb next year when I’m booked in to see the Neurologist again… the results will be in much sooner and maybe even in time for the epilepsy clinic in august but chances are the Neuropsychiatrist won’t get hold of them in time or maybe was never destined to get the results 😮 I think maybe I’ll go to Hope Hospital via train though… bit too skint to be wearing out tyres and using fuel I think =/
OAK-ely Doakely.. He should have COTTONed on that his problems STEMmed from his lack of discretion – must have been NUTS! One thing is for certain, he is going to be a Z list celebrity after they way the story BLOSSOMed!
Blackley Fire station rings a bell. I think I went past it a few times on the #17 Bus when I needed to go to Booth Hall Children’s Hospital many years ago. Whilst I’m at it I think I remember near there was signs for a major hospital, but I don’t remember which… I guess it’s the North manchester General? I guess I do have a rough idea where it is then, I just didn’t know I knew it 😮 Cheers for jogging the old memories 😉
After looking at a map Maybe going that way to Hope Hospital might not be the best, especially with al lthe scrotes around. Going on the M62/M60 and coming off at Junction 12 then coming off the M602 @ J2 may be a bit better, but after riding my Duke II to Blackburn earlier in the week to pick up documents for my patents taking it onto the motorway is probably not a good idea – the single cylinder doesn’t really have the grunt for the really high speed stuff and the lack of fairing meant I had to hang on for dear life as it was increadibly windy that day too! I noticed Eccles train station is nearby Hope Hospital though – I don’t go into Manchester City Centre often, but does the train from Rochdale end up in Piccadilly or Victoria? I’ve got a feeling maybe it’s Victoria and Victoria may also have a train that goes to Eccles. Once I went to Preston via train 7 or 8 years ago and I htink a stop or 2 down the line it ended up at Eccles, but I’m not sure… Also… what are the scrotes like around Eccles train station? The last time I actually went there would have been 1995 when we took my then-puppy on the bus for her innoculations and I was too busy messing with the dog to pay much attention to my surroundings -_-
