That was very purposeful, although I didn’t want to slip too many little jokes into the beginning bit in case it spoiled the surprise too much.

Just watched this on your recommendation and I’m fucking glad I did. This film shits all over The Fog and wipes its arse on the director’s wife. Didn’t watch the trailer so as not to spoil it for myself which I think was a bonus as it had me guessing right up to the explanation of what was going on.
[spoiler:2hkyqra0]Once the explanation was given I thought to myself “Ah, so this is what happens in a hick town when the Half-Life portal storm happens”.
Quite bleak in places, but spiced up greatly by the action sequences, beastie attacks and religious nutjobs.[/spoiler:2hkyqra0]One of the best recommendations of all time. 😀
