Ricky!I agree. We should include the new maps in rotation, but I think we’d be best to add Euro Forces first and then Armoured Fury in a few weeks. EF has been out long enough for everyone who’s going to play it to have downloaded it.
I suggest putting AF on the server on Tuesdays and Thursdays at first like we did with EF, until folks are used to our server playing it.
What do the server admins think?
Infantry only maps would be cool, but some of them are too darned big to discard all vehicles. I’d like to see a couple of maps with Hummers and Vodnics only. Oman would be very good if you had transports screeching into the various bases and unloading soldiers.
I’ve always thought a battle on the streets of a middle eastern village sans vehicles (except maybe transport choppers and jeeps) would rock.
A bit of house to house fighting would be very cool.

If Beer’s not working that day, Turks is a bloody student and WET’s getting there early, then we could grab a table early on to claim as the XDC one. Do we want to take a MEC flag to stick on the table so everyone knows which contol point to head for?

Don’t worry though Hippy, you’ll find that the Londoners are a cheery friendly bunch, always ready to lend a hand with cheeky grin and a pleasant word to help you on your way. Unless of course they’re drunk, and/or psychotic (72% of Londoners are), then they’ll tuck you up a treat!
BTW. All of those pubs are easy to find and only a few stops from Euston Station particularly the Market Porter, Banker and the Mudlark.

Ahh, young T00thbrush… I might be old enough to be your uncle, but I’ve watched an episode of Pop World, so I’m not out of touch with how you young ragamuffins think. The establishments I’ve listed here might not play the lastest boogie music, or serve alchopops or even have a Charlie Chalk FunZone, but I think you’ll find that you’ll have a good time regardless.

Pffft! I’m just getting everyone iced water when it’s my round and then ordering quadruple Jack Daniels with no ice when it’s somebody else’s, and then pouring them into one of several hip flasks I’ll be concealing about my person.
I will get Armoured Fury eventually though, sounds like a good laugh as I think that tank and APC battles are where it’s at. I’d prefer to see the Euro Forces maps in rotation on the server first though.

I’ll be finishing work on Friday at about 16:30, so we could kick it off early and do a recce of the public house in question (which has still yet to be decided, although we have a few suggestions) and ensure that the beer they serve meets our requirements.

No doubt they’ll just want to talk about kittens, babies and cooking though.
Also ShadowFax and Cha0sEngine work near too Pharty, and they mentioned that they might want to come along too.
