This Friday mate, at the Tattershall Castle on the Embankment. I’ll be getting there as early as I can to grab XDC a table, but I don’t know how we’ll all identify each other 😕

Heh. No, I can fly transports okay, just not since I’ve changed my mouse from AT to USB 😕 ❓ ❓ It’s suddenly too sensitive, like I’m always flying that bloody Euro gunship!
Having said that I’ve been hit whilst onboard a fully laiden Blackhawk with a laser guided missile and the guy gets 7 kills in one go. The bastard.

I’m loathe to purchase another “EA charging for what should be free” module if it results in the only server I play on being empty. 🙁 Will it be going back to the standard rotation? A mixture? Something that lets it get full again? 🙂

Used to see you on the server quite a lot, along with Confused Chimp, Maxwell Danger Powers and Scary Snowman. Are some of you guys friends in RL?
I reckon you should purchase the booster packs, sure it’s a pain, but it means we’ll have a bit more variety on our server. We’ve been umm’ing and ahh’ing about how to handle the booster packs, but it looks as if we’ve all got to bite the bullet and just buy ’em.
To be honest I think the XDC admins run a pretty tight ship on the server and we do get lots of regular visitors who play fair and don’t spoil the game for everyone else, and obviously we want to keep those folks coming back. But there’s only so many times we can play Karki, Sharqi and Marki before they get boring…

You’d be proud of me Ronathon. On the next round I jumped into the Chinese transport chopper, and three other fools climbed in behind me (against my wishes). I then took off, flipped 90 degrees and flew sideways, which wasn’t something I’d intended to do, so I leapt out just before the chopper landed on a building and exploded. Unfortunately my comrades didn’t 😕
Luckily that didn’t count as a TK, but I deliberately went off and hid for fear of reprisals. The sky certainly isn’t a safe place to be in when I’m around, for either team.

Was playing Op Roadrage yesterday, I spawn on squad leader who’s waiting for a tank to spawn. I spot a tank on the other side of the gas station and run off and get it.
As I’m exiting the station on the up ramp to the freeway I hear this voice on VOIP telling me that it’s his tank and I should get out (whilst running in front of the tank to stop me). I mean this was like a small child whining for something only the voice wasn’t of some 12yo smacktard, but sounded like that of an adult. When I refuse to give him the tank he kicks me from the squad 😆

The way I look at it is this:
If somebody is waiting for a specific vehicle to respawn, then it’s first come first serve, but if they think that gives them the right to ANY vehicle that spawns then they’ve got another thing coming. You can’t just jump to the front of any queue in McDonalds because you’ve been waiting longer, you make your choice and stick with it.
Anyway, what’s a squad leader doing trying to get in a tank? He should have let you take the tank and then gone off on foot or in a transport as a respawn point.
Your best bet is to sleep in your garden, especially if it’s overgrown, smoking dope and listening to the Rolling Stones on an old wireless radio. Then, if one of your neighbours makes a noise unload 100 rounds of 7.62 into the dense foilage screaming “Gooks on the perimeter! Gooks on the perimeter!” and voila! You’ll have an authentic recreation of Vietnam.

Apparently you can get new weapons as well as improve your sprint distance, recharge times, grenade throw distance etc.
Sounds like they’re learning from BF2 and making suitable improvements for the next one. Hopefully they’ll be encoraging more teamplay rather than stat whoring though.
