did you ever play knights of the old republic? if you enjoyed that then you will enjoy this. do you like rpgs? well you play eve so yes.
the best way i can describe the game is as a great single player rpg that you can play with friends. for me the stories are excellent, i am playing mine as properly evil little shits and the game lets you. get a quest to go do something and talk to someone, extort the bugger for money in exchange for their life and then kill them after they pay 🙂 win win situation
i have it. and really enjoying it, i got access to some of the betas which totally allayed my fears about the game which i was initially very sceptical.

apologies for my raging last night gents! was not happy with that small map game mode.
the proper conquest maps were great, although i wasnt playing very well i did enjoy it.
it may just be me, but the maps feel smaller than they did in bf2. like they compressed the maps slightly.
i would like a decent stab at the B2K maps this evening. not getting on last night was a pain in the arse!

bf2 i could hold back fron the front line a bit and run interceptions on the enemies as they tried to flank and take the rear flags/destroy commander items.
mouseturd city was a great one as the chopper would oten bypass a few flags and drop a squad on a rear flag and try and cap that. and with a few people defending it would stop them or hold them up at worst in order for reinforcements to arrive.
more flags are better, squads can then defend a flag or 2 rather than spending the entire time running between them all capping, killing 1 or 2 people then moving on to the next one. most of the maps (base bf3) you are running around the map like a loony, going from enemy flag to enemy flag. very little defense is going on because it takes so little time to get between them
loved the first one, other than COH it was the last rts i actually enjoyed.
p.s i dont count dawn of war 2 as the overall system is very different and you only have a few units
