Participanti will try and sort some keys out for people for BF3. i dont promise anything but i will try.
so can people please PM me their email address that they have used to create an account with EA. i will then mail the producer to try and get them activated.
this is for the current alpha not the beta which is happening later this year. sorry for not being clear.

Awaiting ROHOS with baited breath, bullet penetration dependant on round and material, bullet entry and exit wounds, bullet drop…the list goes on, so excited its embarrassing for a man my age.
BF3….meh, looks nice but the gameplay will be the same old format, if they had released mod tools i might have bought it….to complicated my arse….dlc is what they want and the dolla.
If ROHOS is half as good as it seems, what with Rising Storm and In Country mods, along with free dlc from Tripwire, community made maps etc i shall be a happy old fucker 🙂
yeah BF3 not releasing the mod tools due to them being too complicated is nonsense. those mod guys are excellent. the only thing that i can see why they are doing it is to prevent the frostbite 3 engine being released for modding. im sure that they will release the mod tools later, but it may be too late by then.
oh and rohos is giving me a semi 🙂

Boo at no XP support, I only have XP 🙁
microsoft doesnt even support XP any more.
back to the game, i am just hoping that they make a decent BF game again out of it. i loved BF2, even though i spent 4 months testing it i loved it.
i have made my feelings very clear to several members of the DICE staff that they had better not make a console game and port it to to PC. i want the commander as a class, i want the commander to squad leader and vice versa only communications, i want 64 player games , i want open battlefields, i want a proper squad system.i know that there will be problems and balancing issues, one class will be better than the rest and most people will play it, ….. but i want my battlefield back!!
whether you prefer 1942 to BF2 of 2142 it doesnt matter, the fact is that those games all featured things that we want and now expect from a battlefield game.

To me, the video I posted has better GFX than most of the PC games I’ve seen, just watch the Facial expressions in Noir.. ok 5 years old hardware… but to produce those after all that time on alledged “Old” hardware, well fuck me rigid, money well spent if tehy can bring that to the table without me going out and buying a new GFX card etc.. The fact neither Msoft or Sony have decided to stick with these for longer and not bring out new hardware says it all.. whereas they bring new gfx and cpu out every year which “moths to lights” have to buy because its new and they want there games to run even better, whereas the games on a console run out of the box no issue
No issue I tells you, ok I bought an Nvdia 470 recently (£220).. I tried a demo of MOH.. I installed it and the drivers and went to play.. I put GFX to full.. I start to play and yeah it looks exactly the same as it does on Xbox.. however when I’m starting to play the game, when I move mouse to look around, I get glitchy shit, well to be honest, its more like a ummm.. how do I explain, basically it reminds me of window blinds by means of sections when you look left, but it kinda takes time to catch up, its so obvious when playing which fucks me off to be honest… Why is this?
the reason for this is that unfortunately very few developers make PC games only any more. as a result when the development process for a multiplatform game is started they have to work from a common base of graphical capabilities. this is usually the PS3 as its the weakest in terms of memory capabilities and therefore the graphics cannot be as detailed. then once they have the common graphics/artwork setup devs will begin to uprate the graphics for the other platforms.
when it comes to multiplatform development the PC version is always done last. the reason is very simple, if you have a release date to which you are working to both PS3 and 360 version have to be sumitted to Sony and Microsoft respectively, they take 20 days to check the game according to their standards and will only allow it to be published once it has passed this certification. PCs do not need this process, so as a result the PC version will be concentrated on during those last 20 odd days while the other versions are with first party.
by doing it this way all of your SKUs go to manufacturing at about the same time, and you can hit your street date.
like it or not this is the case with every multiplatform developer. i dont like it but the fact is that unless you are the likes of blizzard, valve etc and can make 95% scoring PC games you will not make as much money as you would if the game was on all platforms. business is business and thats all the matters to these guys. the other major factor of not doing PC only games is that piracy pisses off developers and publishers no end and as they gnerally make sod all money on pc versions there is no incentive to make them, but that is a whole different discussion.
there are a whole host of problems associated with multiplatform development which i wont go into as i suspect people will fall of their chairs bored out of their minds 🙂 i dont like multiplatform development regardless of the game genre. it waters down the development process, great games stand out on any platform by the little things that make you go “sweet” when you see them. most of these little things tend to be missed during multiplatform development.
so to go back to the original discussion, it doesnt matter what platform is your favourite just keep enjoing games…. but dont tell me consoles are better cos they just plain aint!!!!! 🙂
