it’s like my account has been deleted, no idea why, but trying to contact steam support is like trying to get in touch with belzibub himself.
hmmmm, my Steam account has been down since last weekend. For some reason i can’t login to steam, i’m SURE i’m using the right account name and password, but it just won’t let me in, and when i ask for a reminder of the account details, the e-mail never arrives, well i’ve left it in the hands of steams godawful support network ,but it’s been 5 days and counting and nothing but an e-mail verification of the support number.
I’m not holding my breathe, so don’t expect to see me anytime soon. ๐
yeah, i kinda wrote this event off at the beginging of June when nothing was sorted, i think i’ll using the weekend to take the boy to Waddington Airshow that is on the same weekend.
Though, we should try and arrange an annual drinky poo’s over the summer. it was a laugh he last time, albiet it get’s a little blurred round about meeting Terry venables in that last pub and the taxi ride home with pharty.
i got em, and as headphones go,they do rock. I can concur max doesn’t know what the fuck he is talking about (we all knew that anyways after his unwaivering support for EA :P).
The sound quaility from them and my Xfi is outstanding. I think they could do with a bit more bass, but i haven’t fucked around with my settings yet. As for the build quaility, i’ve never had a better fitting, as comfortable headset. I’ve always been a big fan of the plantronics DSP-500’s, but these do blow them outta the water on all counts.
I’ll agree with max on the mic though, it does look a bit silly and could do with being 2 inches longer (fnarr), but it does seem to do the job, haven’t had any complaints yet.
I wish i’d have known you were gonna sell em, i would have snatched ya hand off to get them at a knocked down price ๐

It was a good laugh the one time i played it. We should get a day organised in the midlands somewhere during the summer, seeing as the 30th bash seems to have fallen on it’s arse.
getting back into ’42 in a big way, i forgot how much i love the game. Been playing a lot on the BFA Coral Sea server a fair bit over the weekend too, but all the maps are so classic, another ’42 night/weekend on our server has to be done.
P.s is there anyway to run the game in 1280×1024 res, there is no option in the video settings to do this, is there a workaround?
/ I found 1942 on a newsgroup finally, and re-installed using my legitimate CD key, just had a couple of hours playing wake and a bit of coral island.
This is the only game in the battlefield series EA got right, it really is a timeless classic.
yeah, you assign a button to the “on the fly” sensitivity and hold it and use the mouse scroll. It’s amazingly handy when using diffrent guns i.e sniper, assault, pistols etc. I thought i upgraded my old razer diamondback to the razer/microsoft hybrid Habu, but like everything microsoft put their name too, it isn’t brilliant…….mainly coz i can’t get the “on the fly” working, probably a issue with vista.
I think i’ll put an order in for these tonight. I have heard only good things about them, people are saying that the mic is too quiet, but i’m sure that’s because of the input device settings.
I’ve used razer products for the last 2 years or so, and found them to be the best for the money. i only wish i could justify upgrading my X-fi to their new soundcard, but i think 130 quid is a bit too rich for my blood considering i hardly ever use the x-fi, i get shouted at for waking the boy up.

I’ve decided the boy is gonna get me a pair of these for Fathers day, he doesn’t know it yet, or have the money for them ( 18 months old), but all the same i’m getting a pair.

In the whole, a good action film, but WTF was the ending? I dunno if my Xvid missed a whole chunk of the ending out, but it finished wierdly. ๐

you might be in luck snell, i have a old MSI K7N2 delta board lying around. I’m almost positive thats socket A. It’s been lying around in a cardboard box since i upgraded, the bios battery might want changing. but it’s your if you want it.
hmmm, i woulda loved to make this, but my BF1942 disc died a death ages back. I’ve tried getting it through “alternative” means and using my legitimate CD KEY, but the newsgroups doesn’t have it ๐
