Sadly there’s no substitute to just playing through the learning curve, and honestly every one of us has had to do it, regardless of any coaching i’ve tried to give.
We’ve hit on a formula which works for most of us playing VS on cobalt, and we’re in a position now where previous critics like Ben are now trying to actually sell the game! It doesn’t work for everyone mind you, but it’s really hardcore what we’re trying to do with our squads and that makes it very difficult at times to keep everyone happy, especially when the population on the server is not offering us options.
Try the game with us more during the week though, as weekends are very iffy atm, sometimes good, sometimes like yesterday. When we can all cope with the big clusterfucks on offer on days like Sunday, we will be unstoppable, but right now we’re a league below that…..yet a league above everything else.
Also Max, you had a good run one night with me pissed as fuck, and then told me you enjoyed a follow up the next day as you advanced along a lattice lane…. If you enjoyed that advance, you have no fucking idea about this game yet, you need to link up with our squad when we’re dropping 4 or 5 guys in on top of 48 enemies, and just seeing how long we last, or holding a flag against a never ending stream of players who pull shotguns, maxes, and vehicles, and whatever other “force multiplier” is required to shift us. There is NO better feeling for us that beating those odds!
I managed to pull myself away from ps2 long enough to try the hardline beta and it’s just not what I want from a bf game. Also ea are taking the piss with their prices.
Oh and where have you been Max?
Depending on what work I get this summer, I might be looking at an upgrade then, in which case I’ll have an oldish i5 and a gtx 670 going. If it happens at all it’ll not be until July or August though.
Oh and almost forgot:
Bug Fixes
• Fix to the invisible player bug/shield effect being stuck.
• Fix for Infantry shield effect not displaying until after the shield has been depleted. Shield effect should now always displayed.
• Buff Nano Armor Cloak: Player no longer flashes when taking damage while cloaked, as long as their shield hasn’t been destroyed.Expect none of the above, and a few new issues for the next month 😉
