Well they did announce this was going to happen around this time of year some time ago, and tbh fuck him, his track record is horrendous since being given the project lead and it can only be good for DayZ that he’s gone.
They also released a roadmap recently so I’ve still got some hope that the game will be developed, but don’t hold your breath. The DayZ mod itself is actually pretty safe these days as well it seems, and there are a few populated servers for it as well.
Update: The secondary chopper spawn will be beside the hospital in cherno in a wee square of pavements lined with some trees between the apartment buildings.
OK the other thread is on hold as I tweak a few of the locations and server settings, however just to make sure the important bit of info is out there, we’re planning to start this at 2pm tomorrow.
The game is likely to take some time and people can come and go as they please. 2pm tomorrow we start, and the password will be given on TS.
OK it has taken all of yesterday and this afternoon to get this setup, it’s been a complete nightmare, however we now have a server set correctly the way we wanted it. Instructions to follow shortly in a separate thread.
Server rented, so within the next hour I’ll see what the admin controls are like for setting this up. Given that this could potentially take some time, I was also thinking about running this from tomorrow, but is that ok?
That is a shame, I had high hopes for this game but had managed to reign in my expectations a bit when I first heard about this instance stuff. Anyway idea whether Star Citizen uses the same multiplayer model?

MessyI say unconfirmed because the date itself is unconfirmed. We’re aiming for the weekend of the 29th + 30th of November, but will push it out to the 6th or 7th of December if necessary.
Anyone else up for this? I’m going to be approaching the rats and hussars soon as well.
