I do think some people here slightly missed the point of the ending (I thought the film was very good and it was the best way to end it, the CIA chief was the best character in the film). The admission that they did not know what they had learnt was alluding to the fact trhat the story had no real point, and that was refreshing for me. I do feel slightly queasy of films that have a decent idea and then force it into a situation that is inappropriate.

    8/10 (a bloody funny film)

Haha, your reason for thinking it’s good and funny is my reason for thinking it’s dull and boring, it’s like taking a joke which can be told in 20 seconds and making it a 20 minute snorefest before delivering the punchline.
Yes, we get it, Americans(and most people) don’t know what they are doing ( Coen brothers in point ! ), but why oh why take close to 100mins to painfully thread us along to tell us that.

Now I know someone will say: But that’s the point, that a lot of stuff we do is pointless.
If I wanted pointless I would’ve stayed at work the extra 100mins rather than waste it on this.

2 or 3 really funny moments, but apart from that I thought it was pretty dull and boring.
    5/10 and that’s being generous !

Recently, none, last gig I went to was:

    [youtube:d5rdt78i]OTmVg_fy6rk[/youtube:d5rdt78i]
DMB at Wembley arena, would’ve been best concert I’ve ever been to if I hadn’t broken my hand on the way there

Then I would Love to see these guys play in the UK, but seeing as the guy has a worse fear of flying than Dennis Bergkamp and Mr T combined, no chance

Hmmm….I can understand most of those things, but bank details, why exactly? If you have a work, proof of payslips or a letter from your company that should be proof enough that you have the finances to rent the place.
It’s not like he can ring up your bank and say – ‘Can you verify that account 123456, sort code 54321 belongs to Mr Bob Jones ?’
Sorry, it sounds a bit dodgy to me

Funny you mentioned shooting a zebra, I tried picking a guy off from distance with sniper rifle, as I shot a zebra walked in line of sight and bang, dead. Thought cool, let’s try an impala, still trying….they’re pretty quick.
Pretty good game overall if a tad repetitive at times. Love the rpg’s and how the blow those trucks skyhigh.
Do love how they’ve got some Afrikaans speaking baddies in it. Hilarious, laughed myself silly first time I heard it.

Anybody try multiplayer yet ? Tried twice over weekend, but couldn’t register as the server was down !

Played Fifa09 on a PS3 at a friends over the weekend, still got console thumb today. It’s actually pretty good, much much better than the PC version.
BUT, can’t help but feel the game still has the old fifa feeling, no need to play football, get the ball to Ronaldo, do a few twists and tricks on the right hand stick and trick your way from midfield to one-on-one with the goalie and score. After the 20th time, it gets pretty boring ( and frustrating, ended up with 7 men in one game due to frustration tackles )

Weirdest thing, I reckon if I had a keyboard to play on on the PS3 I would whip my friend 6-0, I just can’t get the hang of console controllers and having to do most controls with my thumbs, maybe all those rugby/cricket thumb sprains counting against me now

, but you’ll still have to live with the pitch bending cheating that the CPU indulges in when it decides it wants to score.

    Some things never change !

And I hear your point bout fifa09 on PC being different to xbox360, apparently EA can’t get next gen Fifa09 on PC’s cause consoles are more powerful. When did Darling start working for EA.
EA = lazy lying bunch of female genitalia’s, or just lazy console programmers who can’t port properly to PC

After the horrific game that was pes2008 on the PC, I ended up another year playing PES 6 and was looking forward to Fifa and PES offerings.
Downloaded the Fifa09 PC demo, liked it enough to buy the full game, played almost all of saturday on it and doubt I’ll pick it up again. Why ? Same reason as all the other fifa’s before, it doesn’t feel like football, it’s a pure arcade game. There’s no strategy to your play, just pick a few quick players and good dribblers, walk around in the box with nobody challenging you and score at will. Again a game where learning how to do fancy trick combinations is going to win you a match.

I downloaded PES2009 PC demo yesterday, gave it a crack and after a rushed demo game, this is the clear winner for me. The graphics are as good if not better than Fifa, but gameplay immediately feels familiar in that I can play a game of football again, it feels as good as pes6 and I’m sure with the full game all the new bits and pieces will come out and it’ll be a great game

I know the games differ on console, but clear winner for me is PES, although I do love Fifa09’s presentation and menu setup, PES’s seems like it was designed by a 10yr old

Opening up the box and looking at the cable is going to be the easy way.

The long way, try something like this -> http://www.gtopala.com/siw-download.html
Download, run it and go to storage devices and it’ll show all your devices and tell you whether they are SATA or otherwise

Good games last night lads, good games.

Nice to see people having trouble getting onto the server as it was full 😀

What ? Our server full ! I knew I got off too early, but I had been on already for close to 2 hours by then, first 30mins on my own.
But it was still good even when the server was only about 3/4 full
