getting paranoid max…didnt call bf2 wank/crap (other posts maybe)
we agree to disagree…….many more ppl like bf2 to be sure, but not for me
dl this 😉 give it some time and you’ll be hooked…wanna see mg giving cover….commanders calling arty down on nme positions….snipers as a decent tool….sides actually defending/attacking…..no poxy indicator telling you where every one is (so gay its gayyyy)..wanna see (on most servers)ppl give ‘orders’ and see them followed by majority…some of the best community mappers ever…Lazur is breathtaking in its complex stratagies needed ftw. Maknova…so large….2/3 half tracks full of axis coming head on..
had a crackin game on me own last nite on a decent server playing Lazur, cant believe the amount of teamwork that went on..totally amazing, on the right server with the right ppl this is, for me as good as or better than 42….
if you have restricted gameing time then i wouldnt bother, there is a learning curve.
reinstalled bf2 a few wks ago to try realism mods, laughed me bollocks off for 2mins and uninstalled it..foreverif you like dm games,twitch type games, reflex games try the demo but you prob wont like.
if you like realistic ballistics/one shot kills/tactics/objective based play/teamwork this is the game for you….infantry combat as good as it gets 😀
ps play the infantry maps to get a feel for the best of RO…tanks are a required taste much like bf2 😉

as of last post ..still pissed….teamwork is RO..i can be (and generally am ) top scorer on my team but it means feck all if we lose a map ….grrrrrr…..
dod is so bad compared to RO its unreal..imo…you do not need ts as teamwork generaly flows wih map design

wipers play for a hour or two for a week and you wont play bf2 as much, as justice pointed out its ‘pure’ gameing…..more team based play on most servers than from my experience of bf2…now on the movement side of things…play this and bf2 players seem like there on speed…apart from the walking speed which is a tad slow its nigh on spot on, i know the movement can feel clunky at first, but humans generally are clumbersome….
the best bit….a team of average TEAM players will kick the arse of a team with 3/4 leet players in, with little teamwork.
i hope to never play a game with crosshairs on again 8)
if you read a lot of the feedback you will find ppl who called RO a stinking pile of shite, find themselves returning to the threads saying how it is the best fps they have ever played.
in RO you survive/die by teamwork,tactics and sticking to the objective of the map 😉
me dazz and gra have mentioned amoung ourselves funding a server, i still help with the bf2 server (and will continue to do so) so would struggle to justify to me misses 🙄
imo it would be nice but as soia said there are some great team play servers out there…
