following the latest patch i found that spawn times were really slow

Blackadder found this info which solved my spawn time problems

    SPAWN DELAY SOLUTION

(As originally posted on the EA forums and personally confirmed)

It looks like the spawn delay is an anti-virus resident shield issue.

It has something to do with the fact that now on every spawn your current kit loadout is saved to a file in the My DocumentsBFBC2 folder and for some reason the way it is being saved causes a scan of the file by some AV programs, which causes the spawn delay.

The solution is to either disable the resident shield or (preferably) add the My DocumentsBFBC2 folder as a path exception and the delay will disappear.

If you have AVG (for example), double click on the Resident Shield function, then click Manage Exceptions and add the above path as an exception. You will instantly notice the lag has gone.

    Simples!

I suggested Atacama Desert but as far as i know nothing is set in stone yet so feel free to suggest any others instead (they need to be conquest maps) . I may be able to make the last few maps but i will have to see.

I may not be able to make this game tonight due to real life unfortunately.

If you join the Hussars server prior to the 8pm kick off then Blackie and Baldrick are organising it
    Server Name:
    HUSSARS BIG FRIENDLY GERBIL
    IP Address:
    193.93.47.182:19567

Hussars TS 3 server address is hssr.ath.cx

i would certainly be up for quad bike races , i imagine there is a good chance of that happening after the main event.

as the hussars use ts3 , it would be pertinent to have it installed , i will post the ip of their server later

the scrum is happening on Saturday 10th of April. Blackie has given us 10 places.

    the proposed format is –

    Quote:
Talking about the teams, the way it is looking, we will end up with one clan splitting itself between the two sides, so here is my proposal.

The scrum itself is played between two teams – arbitrarily called the Red and Blue team.
The scrum itself will actually be split into three maps (two rounds per map), with each participating clan choosing one of the maps.
The clan that chose the map being played has to split its team between the Red and Blue team to balance the sides for that map.
    /quote]

    there will be 10 Hussars , 10 XDC and 10 and 12 7DR

So far we have myself , AnobizII , Wolf and Turks have confirmed.

Could people confirm their availability please. We can always alternate players in the unlikely event we have more than 10 people.

We need to select a conquest map to play as well , suggestions please? , personally i like Atacama Desert and Panama Canal.

AnobizII there will probably be a space for you as traditionally in xdc people fail to turn up lol

the final numbers have not been finalised yet but i am sure we can work something out 🙂
