I contacted OS about Explorer/Ranger maps for fictitious locations and they said they couldn’t help :?.
I’ve just read that the whole single player campaign on Armed Assault will be playable co-operatively. That’s good news for me cos on OFP I always enjoyed getting to the tree line while a mate covered me then shooting the gullible gimp in the legs so he had to crawl those 500 yards to cover. Ah, good laughs.

yeah, i “think” i’m getting on a *cough* trial basis.
rest assured i WILL be buying it, it just a sign of the times we live in whereby i can’t be arsed to wait for it, i can’t believe the czechs can have it but the rest of the world can’t. It seems to me it’s a case of the developers are thinking ” we have to wait an age for game, see how the rest of the world likes it”. 🙄

starforce is a bastard…..ppl’s success in cracking it, are random…i cant get it running 😥
best bet is a shitload of hard drive activity as you run it …you need the latest daemon tools …..dont forget its in czech, there is a english pack that translates most of the on screen text (spoken word is in eng anyways)
need a beast of a rig to get the most ouy of it im told…might be an idea to hold out untill the 30th as the german version is out and im sure it dosnt have starforce..if it has im sure one of the well known groups will crack it 😀

may ask you several times to reboot as it loads starforce
I got it running first time.
All you have to do it… Make sure you have the newest daemon tools.
Make sure the aa img is not mounted. Then try and start the game. Box opens up telling you to put the disk in. DONT CLOSE IT
Then mount the img. And let it autorun and it loads 🙂
The ai is a bit retarded tho.
When ever you have to go back to your jeeps or fall back they all run like idiots until they get there. Through towns also. No tactical maneuvers, no scanning for contacts on the way. Just run like a headless chicken.
Also in the 2nd level all my driver had to do was go down a straight road. He crashed into a side street, took about 10 mins to get out. Then all the way down the road after that he slam into walls at random.

as said in above post its luck wether it runs or not but with the above file theres no prob….tried for an hour your way no joy
Not enjoying this no where near as much as i thought i would.
The ai is shat. You cant use your scope. Zooming in instead zooms in your normal view and leaves you with a wank cross hair. Where is my scope dammit!
You cant deploy the lmg on sand bags etc. You can only get a steady shot when lying down.There was a deployed 50 cal on the 2nd level (iirc) but you could not use it.
Lots of little annoyances so far, and not alot of good.
Oh and you have to connect to the web to play a bloody lan game so a bit of pre release coop is out the window.
The more i play it the less likely its looking that i will buy it.
scope /iron sight push once..push again slightly zoomed scope….keep pushed zoomed crosshair
tbh messy, all of these options are configed in mp so ….chances are most servers will have no x hairs…the moding community is massive…have played coop with a few clans in ofp can be exilhirating stuff…tis for the realism freaks….but a week long game of cti with jip could be awesome fun
my pc struggles like feck…everything low or off
the community kept ofp/res alive by sorting out the ai, adding units, islands, vehicles the list goes on, give it 6 months or so and it should be good 😉
mine looks and plays great, i love the game, although it’s all in czech, so i’ve no idea what i’m doing, but i’ve done a few training missions, but as for the proper missions, i dunno what to do in em.

follow instructions and it will turn menus and some other stuff into english…not all though
