Apparently the latest sound issues in BF2 i.e. white noise, squealing and random sound, may be the product of the last PB updated over last weekend.

I’ve been getting this at random times on different maps.
Looks like after a bit more reading it may also only effect Creative SB Audigy 4 cards.
I, like the posts at totalbf2, have only had it since the w/e think Hippy posted in another thread that he’s getting it too.
I’ve always had the sound pop/crack upon joining a server, just now at random points it launches into a continuous chain of random gun fire squeals and white noise that can only be stopped by disconnecting and rejoining.
Think it probably starts when pb does a fresh scan durring play.
Yep, I get it on an audigy 2. I normally play through it (hurts my fookin ears tho) Only happens once or twice in a round
Hippy have you tried that dll fix that’s mentioned in the totalbf2 thread?
(Guess prob not as you’re prob at work)
