I’ve been playing this game for a week or so and it’s not bad. A turn based survival horror game, very much in the vein of ‘Dawn of the Dead’, called URBAN DEAD.
Basically its a RPG whereby you get to chose a class (civillian, military or science) and then have to survive the zombie apocalypse. At first it seems a bit bland, but when you start reading up on what’s happening around the game location (a city called Malton) it starts to become more colourful. Read the Wiki here: Things to do in Malton when you’re undead.
I’ve got 3 characters; a cop, soldier and a firefighter (one of whom is currently dead). Check it out.

Where abouts is your character(s) hiding out mate? I’m over in Edgecombe and North Blythville. Managed to scrounge a few medkits today.

Well, from what I’ve picked up so far, some of the writing on the wall is rubbish, but I don’t think that zombies can read it. That means that some of messages can say stuff like revive point at “Newham Plaza”, or “Entry point to Caiger Mall – Don’t over barricade”. You also get XP for ‘tagging’ certain buildings, which is why there’s so much grafitti.
Check out the Wiki though mate, when you’ve read that suddenly the game takes on a whole new level. There are Mercenary units, bounty hunters, cults of human killing survivors and even zombie gangs. There seem to be constant battles as zombies attempt to attack and ransack malls, and the survivors attempt to defend them (malls are the best places to find equipment). These are often ochestrated by different defence groups or zombie hordes.

September 11, 2006 at 8:07 am #33643XDCNeonSamuraiParticipantWhere are your guys located mate?
Both my characters are level 1 – Duncan Jones (a cop) and ‘The Smith’ (a soldier) – I’ve also got a zombie with brain rot. My characters are currently in South Blythville and Edgcombe.
I’ve not got much gear yet, mostly shotguns, pistols and some flareguns, but I’m trying to find some more medkits at present.
