Guess i’m behind the times with console news as the last console i owned was a PS1 but theres a new Battlefield game coming out next year for Xbox360 and PS3……..

the video states its coming out on PC as well but i think thats a mistake by the kid who compiled the video but having read various articles on it it seems its being developed on a new gfx engine called “frostbite” developed inhouse by EA Stockholm and its going to feature destructible terrain which will allow the player to
“create their own hiding places or alleys towards the enemy flags”
Is it me or does a lot more emphasis seem to be on the console games now with very little attention paid to correcting the errors prevalent in the PC titles ? Are we going to be seeing another Battlefield game on the pc in the future or have they gone as far as they want with the PC and instead turn their attention to the consoles, it would after all give them far less headaches with regards to compatibility issues with hardware etc.
guess time will tell………….i better start saving some cash for a PS3 or Xbox 360 😉

EA bought DICE over the summer. Was announced some time ago, but the details of the acquisition took several months to complete.

has the usual pics but a few new magazine scans which kinda show off the destructible terrain………
Also read somewhere about whispers concerning a PC and PSP version due around 2008!!! Could be complete bull but it keeps us guessing 😉 ………. and it annoys insane 😆

you know it wont happen. and if it does.. you’d need 50million patches before its playable.. and and its Battlefield game.. so why would they?
