    twice now i have had updates install (cant remember what as normally just win xp hotfix’es) and then i get scvhost.exe crash and so themes disappear and sound stops working in games.

    why do you reckon this has started up!!

    Really?

    Well I have a legal version of XP Pro!

    I think the issue is that I installed Visual Studio 2005 with Dot Net 2.0

    I then needed to use Delphi 7 which requires Dot Net 1 and it needed some older versions of stuff for IE6.

    Its after that, that it seems to have buggered up!

    So guess I will have to flatten it and not install Delphi and Visual Studio together!
