Hello Again.

Sorry not been around for a while but my power supply failed about 6 weeks ago and the following happened:

1/ Identified the poser supply as being faulty and took it back to supplier as only had for 6 months.

2/ Supplier had it for a week then connected it to a test rig and declared it sound.

3/ I picked it up and still couldn’t get my PC to start so thought it might be the CPU or Mohterboard.

4/ Drove to Derby (I live in Leicester) to get the CPU and MB tested.

5/ He rang me that night and declared the hardware sound.

6/ Frustrated, I drove back the next day and picked them up.

7/ Got home and retested everything, switches, tried starting with just a cdrom and 1 stick of ram……still wouldn’t start 🙄

8/ Started to get the hump, decided I was right in the first place and it was the power supply, rang the supplier (getting a bit shirty by this time) and demanded that he show me my power supply (PS) working with my motherboard and cpu.

9/ Took the relevant hardware down the next day, he’d been called out on a breakdown (probably one of his shitty powersupplies).

10/ A week passes, I get a phone call frpm him saying it wont work with my cpu and MB, I tell him eo try a known good PS, he does, low and behold it works.

11/ So after weeks of messing about it turns out the PS was faulty all along.

12/ I had unnecesarily stripped my machine completely and wasted weeks of time.

13/ He apologised and said he’s send the PS back to Antec and get it replaced.

14/ 2 weeks pass buy, I ring them up and chase the PS. They then chase it and say that it will be despatched and I’ll have it by the end of the week (it was monday when I rang).

15/ Friday comes, no PS. I ring they say they ar very sorry but Antec are reknowned for this sort of thing and I wont get until next friday.

16/ Next Friday comes, no PS they say Monday.

17/ Monday comes, no powersupply, they chase and say the 5th June.

18/ I drive down there kill them all and set fire to the place but not before demanded a refund. 👿

19/ I rang my supplier in Derby (The one that isn’t retarded) and asked him to obtain the identical power supply.

20/ He says ys, no trouble, it arrive the next day and this afternoon I re-built my machine.

All in all a story of complete incompetence, bad customer service, crappy product bordering on the surreal.

Anyway, what’s happening in the BF2142 world, any more patches etc?

Either way, I’ll try and get on over the weekend and practice repeatedly dying avery few seconds whilst accusing everyone of hacking.

I’m a bit out of practice but imagine I’ll pick it up again 😛
