Participantconsidered water cooling for my new rig, not sure yet, i think too much is overkill, so just getting some for the cpu an replacing the GFX onboard fan for a bloc,

Participant@Hippo….I was tempted to get a burbury custom paint job…but you gotta draw the line somewhere…or maybe a picture of Daniella Westbrook on my desk ;)…..LOL
@Crazy…the GFX water blocks are the EK ones with Acetal backs…I opted for the Acetal cos acyrlic is prone to cracking and these offer marginally better performance….they look nice in the system imo…compliment the ‘blackness’ nicely…

@Ryzo….not sure I get what you mean re. the “too much is overkill” it’s all about balancing the overclock against the cooling power of the system….so I run mine at lower temps (CPU) and much higher Ghz…and my 8800GTX temps plummeted from 85 degrees to 49 degrees…hence more headroom for overclocking.August 18, 2007 at 1:28 am #56116Ryzo
ParticipantI mean for my personal setup as i hvnt moved onto the 8800 (on 7950 GT atm) and dont overclock my system, to have a system fully overcooled my me – wldnt be overkill, but im moving onto a GTX, bigger better cpu, and im getting a new case, so figured im going to get some blocks for the card and cpu, 🙂 and keep the fans for the genereal system,
