me n the misses are going away in 2 months to france skiing and working with the aim of travelling round the rest of the world after.

The trip was gonna go sumit like this…

manchester to nepal to go treking then to bangkok, back pack through asia and find a way to sydney, then fly to new zealand. from new zealand we were thinking about going to south america but im unsure what areas are worth visiting. defo want to go to peru ect but not sure what else to do or where’s safe.

After this it would be a trip though the caribbean. we were hoping to get a trip across america as well, maybe san fran or LA to new york but its linking it together. Then it would be a flight home.

does anybody have any recomended places to go, trips to make or ways of linking stuff together?

we found an aussie site that let us custom make our flight plan. the one above was about 1900 quid over a year but we wouldent mind being on the road for 2.

    any suggestions welcome 😉

also have the problem of finding the best times to be in certain countries, i know were gonna catch a monsoon but if we can bypass the worst of it im sure we could cope.

    hmm..

or if you have an alternat route that might work i wouldent mind hearing your suggestions..

    😕

You’ve not got Uganda on that list – so not worth going!!

Loved Peru – Ecuador good too… Go to the faulklands, just so that you can say you’ve been (apparently there is fuck all to do there!) Cubas apparently awesome.

In terms of the states – apparently there is a company which either pays you, or gives you cheaply, a car to drive accross the country – for those people who move house to an opposite coast, and dont want to drive across the country – could be worth some research.

hmmm – the falklands? great idea! 😯 the companies that let you take cars across the states usually have very tight schedules and insist on you taking the shortest route… not much of a holiday… basically don’t listen to that crazy turkey boy 😀

anyway – the trip sounds great… hope u got plenty of cash for it! my personal wish list would be new zealand and oz, bali, thailand for the islands and full moon parties… followed by angkor wat in cambodia then the taj mahal and the banks of the gangees in india. peru and chile in samerica before checking out belize. guatamala (google tikal… its awesome!) and mexico (the yucatan peninsula rather than the americanised north) in central america before heading to the states. that trip alone will take a year if you do it properly.

yeah think were gonna take about a year n a half to do it. docs idea sounds like a good one so gonna look into some of those places. we’re gonna be doing most of it on the fly so should be able to divert to a place if it looks interesting enough. Going with maybe 5000 each hopefully so money might be tight but ok if we work were we can.
