My computer keeps freezing… short of doing a reinstall, which I really cant be arsed with atm (as I am so busy unemployed!), I was wondering how I can sort it – it says DCOM is the prob…

    Any clues?

    ntfs (event 55)

I know very little about windows errors, but anytime I’ve had errors with ntfs mentioned, part of my hard drive has been corrupted. Try running chkdsk on whatever drive this is happening on. At worst that’ll confirm the error, and you’ll probably have to reformat, but it might fix the problem itself, or show nothing at all 🙂
