Ok – i know there are a few poker players here… i need some help!
There is a local poker gathering every 3-4 weeks – with proper tables and chips and a laptop controlling player scores/ current antes/ blinds etc. Its great fun…. 12 quid buy in and the chance to win up to 90 quid by the end of the night if you come first.
Anyways… I have been twice now and really enjoyed it… but dont have a clue what Im doing really. I have looked at a couple of web sites that explain pot odds/ basic strategy… but they havent been all that useful. Does anyone know of any really good strategy sites? It no limit that we play by the way.

I used to play poker loads, and the best method of learning I found was just to play the game. You learn loads by just watching the other players around the table.
