Whoop Whoop!
Ma wants to buy my old computer, so am looking for some kit in the region of £500 to see me through for the next four years or so.
Would I be better off building it myself, or buying from Dell? (baring in mind I am a bit of a spaz!)… thinking there maybe some good deals out there in this crazy financial climate…
I already have all the periferals, screen and a good sound card, so just looking for the box of tricks – anyone got any suggestions?
Main use will be a bit of gaming (graphics not number1 priority though), itunes, internet, photo editing stuff (gonna learn if it kills me!) and video editing.
Ideas?
don’t buy from dell! pc specialist are good… along with a bunch of other bespoke pc makers… hard to beat them on price by sourcing components themselves I reckon.

Me Ma (used to until she bought my old pc off me), Sis, and anyone else I know have Dells, there alright for people who dont really want all singing and dancing and I couldnt be arsed building PC’s from scratch anymore (but for a gaming maybe too expensive for pennys you have mate) I always recommend em for ease of use.. only ever had to call dell once due to faulty HDD, but easily blagged if you know what your talking about 🙂As for new PC, that one mags posted looks good enough

Am now a fully fledged tax payer… Ugh!… working for a logistics firm, importing aeroplane food… Whoop Whoop! About to leave home, and be a fully fledged broke bastard!
In terms of gaming – the PS3 is soooooo much more gf friendly than the pc (buzz and little big planet for a start)… hence why I have moved on… and the lack of any decent games any more…
Still hanging around the forums though… not got rid of me yet 🙂 (coming up to my 7th aniversary in XDC!!!)

I just got buzz for PS3 (special ed) .. cannie wait to play it at xmas 🙂

ha.. my sis has it on PS2, I got the special Ed version, get 2 free question packs with it
I only got it (as bday pressie of me ma) for xmas, when I goto g/fs rents for tea on a sunday, her mum gets out the pub quiz questions from the wednesday before, we then have a lil fun, me and the other half, versus her sister and b/f .. its good.. so looking forward to it!
dunno about LBP, it looks awesome tbh and different.. but dont think it would last long with me, might get it if they give it away.. not played on PS3 for moons due to no TV, but that will arrive soon.. cant fecking wait.. 50″ of pioneers sexualness!
still got Transformers and iron man to watch in HD! (and hopefully BoB as an xmas pressie.. or The Incred hulk ) 🙂
Ugh… not sure what I should do as I dont play anything any more… my concience is telling me that what I have is good enough… and those net books do look pretty!
