As per cc’s recent request, shall we set the server to hardcore this monday and see how it goes? I can do this early on as i’ll be off work, and maybe even seed it early if anyone else is?
Well we’ll try it on monday and see how it goes. There’s been a request for this and there are a few in xdc who like this cod invention being transferred to a bf game, but we’ll try it for sure andgo back to what we normally have the day after.
How do you feel about it?
This is a good idea, I like hardcore, but it definitely has its downsides. HC is like vanilla BF3 on steroids when you have a good team and when you’re playing well, but if you let your concentration slide then you will be severely punished. I think it’s best served in small doses, and I guess that’s the point.
I love the extra challenge of hardcore, but I’m not sure that I actually enjoy it for more than a couple of hours. It works for squad rush, but a full 32 player conquest game can get very, very messy indeed (N.B. that is not a reference to the welshman).
pfft you suggest hardcore is harder when all it does is slow the pace of the game and makes snipers extremely powerful. I find it challenges my patience, and that’s all.
Server’s currently full on normal mode, but when there’s enough of us online we can restart into hardcore.
Of course if noone wants to switch then can leave it as it is.
Its not going to work like that Matt. If we are going to give it a proper go and see if people do come to the server we need to set it in the morning and leave it all day. If it doesnt work then fine – but it seems like the idea is getting scuppered before it has even started.
It is only one day a week. Fair enough?
Agree, needs to be set from am. Less confusion as some appeared to have a mixture of normal and hc last night when attempted to change on the fly
