Ok i finally got an xbox 360 with gears of war, top game but a bit repetitive and short. Forza 2, wicked but no replays due to no hard drive 😡 ( should really say summit on the box. Battlefield Midway, good fun but too short and not enough subs. Burnout Revenge, gf likes it.
Ghost recon advanced way fight ( not as good as 2 ), splinter cell DA, and Morrowind Oblivion.I need more top games, that bioshock looks interesting but i really dunno what else to get as im not buying mags or looking online for reviews at the moment.
any suggestions?

Gears of War is the only game I’ve come across so far. So my 360 is gathering dust.
Of the ones Insane mentioned I wasn’t stuck with any of em to be honest but I havent played Rainbow 6 so that might be worth a go – it good good write ups everywhere.
Have to agree with Insane on the 360 footie games. FIFA07 is better than PES (though ridiculous as it sounds the PS2 version of PES6 better than them both.)
My advice would be to save your money for now and buy PC games, MOH Airborne is out a week on Friday and seems pretty good and then you’ve got UT3 coming out as well. Even that Timeshift is due out soon and might be worth a look since they overhauled it.
Plenty of games coming out on the 360 (eventually) PES or FIFA, Mass Effect, Halo 3, Assassins Creed, Alan Wake (think that’s what it’s called anyway), Army of Two, Stranglehold and GTA IV of course. Surely one or 2 of those will be passable?!? So you might not have wasted your money just yet.

Dead rising was a top game and is going for relatively cheap now, so yup
and id say Bioshock would be worth a shot too mate – also the new Medal of Honour Airborne is a rather tastey morsel – whenever its out
MOH for PC I reckon.. Keyboard and mouse etc etc 🙂
Bioshock.. I’d wait till that comes down to price of Dead Rising.. over rated in my eyes to be honest
Guitar Hero 2 game for the older generation of ex rockers like myself, get two guitars a few mates and a few beers you will understand after.(music was much better in GH 1 though)

look we have spent loads more time jazzing up the crowd….be amazed at the detail on every member of the 40,000 plus crowd as mustard drips from his westlers hot dog all over his slightly dodgy replica east london city football shirt ! you might as well focus on the crowd cos you wont be seeing many goals but hey ??? its not me who keeps comin back for the same game every year is it….do what ya wanna do suckers !

ok let me see if i can remember how this particular franchise works ?? i should do since i have bought every version since the ps1 !!!!
the second in the series on a new platform means that they will move a little better…..some shots from outside the 18 yard box go into the net on this years version…..but the freekicks dont !!
you have to buy 09 and 10 before the good freekicks arrive in 2011
but by then scoring goals in open play is a big no no……its a midfield battle all the way…..with even the slowest defenders being able too outmuscle and nick the ball of thierry henry the supposed fastest player on the planet just in the nick of time……every single fuckin time he gets near the goal ! oh and the opposing team will always score in the last minute of every master league match !! dems the rules !!!
so as you can see i wont be buying pro evo 7 on the 360 this year…..no no !!! this franchise will not get my 40 doonups again as it has done every year since chesney hawkes was top of the pop charts !!!! i wont let it happen….im determined……yet ultimatley who am i trying to kid ??

silly me for thinkin with the new technology at their disposal….the next gen graphics…….now we will finally get the free flowing,open scoring,speed adjusting,shots from outside the box,freekicks that work,no i dont want to see a ref waving a card,nor do i need to see that foul again,nor that offside replay, FOR FUCKS SAKE PLEASE TAKE SOME OF THESE FUCKIN TACTIC OPTIONS AWAY SO YOU CAN FIT IN A NO FUCKING REPLAY OPTION YOU BUNCH OF CUNTS !!!! version that they managed to pull of so wonderfully well with pro evo 2 on the old ps1 20 years ago !!!!

pro evo is the best example of marketing geniuses selling you the same thing every year under the pretence of new improvements…..a marketing mans wet dream !!! finding these improvements ingame is akin to looking for wheres wally with a binliner over your head with meerkat scat smeared in your eyeballs !!!

jeez remind me never to piss you off Sprog, well uinderstand your sentiments I think the last one I thought was any good was 5, Sensible Soccer for me was the best footy game ever mad skills no gfx but playable as hell.

Sproglington.. Unfortunatly by the sounds of it this time round, the only new option is a “Dive” mode lol .. pressing both shoulder buttons will perform this.. oh and master AI apparently.. FIFA07 was better than PES6 imo.. then I played that champions league FIFA game.. have to say I prefer that than both!
My monie on FIFA08 this time round.. I’ve moved to the Darkside.. I like the sound of controlling your own throughball.. including the control of distance AND directionTime will tell I guess
Yeah, I think I’m going for FIFA this year. I’ve seen some in game footage of PES8 and it’s the PS2 version of PES6 with flasher graphics.
Saying that I know I’ll end up going back to PES6 about a week later since every FIFA game is the same – you spend 10 minutes getting used to it, 10 minutes playing it and then 10 minutes beating the CPU 16-0 on the highest settings and realising playing it anymore is pointless.
They really f***ed up PES with the match scripting, which was annoying and utterly pointless. If they get rid of that it would be an improvement.
Anyway, I wouldn’t worry about Terry Henry anymore (or Sprogs failure to cotton onto the fact that you have to use long sprint to outpace defenders!), he’ll be absolutely shite on the new PES. The bias towards premiership teams on PES is legendary and he doesn’t play there anymore so he’ll be a carthorse.
There’s a FIFA 08 PC demo out by the way, it’s a bit shite to say the least. Looks like the PC version is the PS2 version ported across.
