yeah thats teh one!
hehe
errmm.. the N70 turned itself off, the N73 did.. and my 8310 from years ago was the same .. cant say theres owt new with nokias doin that tbh
BUT.. have to say.. mines done it about 3 times in 2 months! 🙂 Its certainly not a reason to not get one thats fo shizzle.. if it turned itself off and never came back on i’d be pissed
I believe theres a firmware already to sort issues, but not too sure if this is one of them fella
July 4, 2007 at 8:56 am #54528TurksMeisterParticipantIm just wondering whether its worth spending the extra £89 for the phone… it would only be £5 per month for the duration of the 18 months… but with insurance, would mean I am spending £810 over 18 months… which is rather alot of money!
Could I get the more expensive deal, and get the phone for free, and then change to a lower tariff?!
And what are the features like? video player etc? do they drain the battery?
July 4, 2007 at 9:39 am #54529XDCiNSANEParticipantI did a lot of research for this.. I didnt think it was worth the extra fiver a month for 200 extra minutes tues to sat!.. unless your on the phone for 4 hours a night/day I dont think you will even hit the 600 a month.. dont forget you have the free weekend calls upto maximum of 2000 mins.. your just paying the £90 a month in monthly installs
buying the phone outright seemed the better option to me
features are brill.. it has everything! I believe interwebing and watching vids all day will drain any phone of its battery life.. thats the only downside i hear… but who spends all day watching videos on there mobile? i just listen to music and do the odd browsing in bed if i cant be arsed getting up at night *using my wireless network of course*
July 14, 2007 at 10:01 am #54530TurksMeisterParticipantKeep almost buying it, and then stopping! Think I will get it on Tuesday when I go home.
Have you ever run out of batteries – that my main worry – although you can buy a spare on ebay for a few quid, so i could do that…
lack of sufficient batteries is my main gripe with anything
July 14, 2007 at 10:06 am #54531XDCiNSANEParticipantnah never ran out.. heard the beep a few times but thats with a lot of use during day.. they’ll bring out a nice battery I’m sure!
Oh I downloaded the latest firmware for it as I think you cursed mine with all this talk of switching itself off.. aint done it but then again it didnt do it that often to warrant it a problem
A chap at works has never switched off since firmware upgrade either
July 14, 2007 at 11:01 am #54532TurksMeisterParticipantI think Im sold!
Going to get a 2gb chip too… then sell my bloody pda – which I have barely ever used!
Anyone looking for a pda? will reduce the price of ebay to avoid hassel!
its … a dell… and… errr…. was top of the range 2 years ago!
July 14, 2007 at 1:19 pm #54533XDCiNSANEParticipantget a 4GB one mate… from here
bargain.. and you get a free card converter/reader, which means you can pop it in the usb slot of a PC to transfer stuff to and fro .. very handy
Its an Axim X50v I think .. your PDA if i remember correctly 🙂
July 14, 2007 at 2:56 pm #54534TurksMeisterParticipantindeed it was
barely used!
Grrr
July 15, 2007 at 3:36 pm #54535TurksMeisterParticipantBloody hell!
For £42.50 on Tmobile you can get £180 calling credit (to spend on either 900mins or 1800 texts – or a mix and match) and up to 1gb of internet access at 1mb/s per month…
PLUS free evening and weekend calls!
Plus the phone for £60
I can see myself spending a fortune here!
