Hi folks,
I’m still alive and been lurking here for a bit.
Sorry for my rudeness in keeping quiet, but it’s become apparent to me that I can’t really play online games anymore as it makes me too angry, which upsets the wife and the neighbours. All my ‘effin’ and Jeffin’ hasn’t been going down well, so I’ve tried to steer of gaming, which is a real shame since I actually do enjoy it so much, and coming here reminds me of what I was missing out on. Plus we’ve got some little kids next door now and I don’t want them to be learning alternate words for vagina when I flip out loudly.
I’m also doing a CCNA at the moment, so that’s taking up my spare time. Lifes much better than it was though, and the inlaws are still being ‘tards, but that’s not so much a bother anymore.
Hopefully I’ll be around a little more in the forums, but I’ll be steering clear of the gaming, unless I can get some cheap prozak or some Moroccan black 😉

I’m still stuck in the time warp that is BF2 when I do decide to have a game.

Hmm not sure how to shut up the effin’ and blindin’? Maybe get Morgan to send you one of those gimp masks from his forum avator pic?I’m sure the neighbours kids think you are cool giving them all that colourful language 😉 I heartily recommend that you at least lurk about the forums more and spice the place up. Even if you’re not playing so much at the moment this place definitely needs words of jizzdom from the likes of your good self and of course the other lyrical waxer SOIA. Place has’nt been the same without you.

My neighbours are Portuguese, so I guess I could convince the parents that I’m playing ‘River Cherwell Punt Simulator’ and claim to be shouting “You punt! You stupid fucking punt! You piss-faced, shit eating punt! I’m going to fucking kill you, you punt!” Although they might get a bit upset about the other swear words, which I learned from Signal.
Whilst I appreciate the need of my excellent 2142 skillz to make the rest of XDC look like Max (obviously not physically) I fear that unless I am zoned out on St Johns Wort or Whiskey then I’ll be the neighbour from hell again. Although if I’m blotto on bourbon, I get all morose and lovey dovey, which I’m sure would spoil the pleasant TS ambiance for everyone (except Pharty). Plus, I think I might have a brain embolism or something whilst trying to cap a flag and that’d no doubt upset the wife.
The only thing I can suggest until I get proper psychiatric help is that we use XDC funds to buy an orphan with tourettes and lock him in a cabinet where Magicker keeps the TS server. During any of the games we play he could occasionally come online and make a few remarks.
One kid given a vital role in society and normalcy returned to XDC. Everyone’s a winner!
I can sort of understand where your coming from Neon, I’ve stopped playing COD4 just because I was ready to kick off big time cuz it’s so wank but I’m back on BF2142 and AA(when I get te fecking thing working) which only slighty irrates me unlike COD4 which really brings my blood to the boil, And no offence guys after playing 2142 for a couple of weeks I’d forgotten how much better it is than COD4 but then again it’s no BF1942/2.
Single player of COD4 was very good but the MP was shite, I think everyone jumped on the bandwagon (myself included) and said it was good just to play something different.COD 4 is on my list of games to buy, but only for the single player. I played it briefly online on a PS3 and as awesome as it was I could see that I would rapidly get hacked off by the ‘gamesmanship’ employed.
Trouble is I gave 2142 another go about two weeks ago and promptly uninstalled it about 30 minutes later following a resurgence of ‘the rage’, but that might be because I played on an EA server. To be honest the good times greatly out number the bad with 2142, but when it goes bad I switch into ‘sweary mode’, which isn’t good. Really, I should be able to distance myself from what happens on a PC monitor, but I get too involved and really start overreacting, especially when I’m playing badly (I’ll blame everyone else for cheating, but I’m actually frustrated by my own crapness).
I guess I’ll have to start playing games like ‘Home Gardening Simulator’ or ‘Having a Nice Pint of Ale MMORG’.

I will be buying the ‘Orange Box’ once I’ve got my CCNA, so it’s a definite possibility. I had a go on the PS3 and thought it was pretty good, but I’ll see what it’s like playing with the ‘tards who will no doubt be using it en masse on PC.
TF2 is deffo not a game that frustrates me anywhere near as much as COD4 etc so it may be worth your while 😉
If you want to confuse your portugese neighbours, substitute “fuck” with “Fordas”, it means awesome in Portugese.
