Add me and I’ll invite you to the steam group, where people can then find you for friends invites.

November 29, 2009 at 9:58 am #74984sickofitallParticipantCheers to you both, been a while since I used Steam so I’m not familiar with it.
I’ve changed my profile name to [RATz] Sick Of It All – on account of the fact that if we only get 4 of us on people generally won’t stay on a game where clan members are stacking on one side.
November 29, 2009 at 2:17 pm #74985xdc the docParticipantI ordered from amazon yesterday – see you online soon.
November 30, 2009 at 3:28 pm #74986AlzirKeymasterWe had some good games of this on Saturday night with the Rats, and some UFF and OHP guys/Draco. It was my first versus game in L4D2, and it was tricky getting used to some of the new classes, but good fun overall. It was also my first time playing a couple of the new campaigns, and after initially thinking this game was a bit too similar to the original, I’ve completely changed my mind and decided it’s a massive improvement. The finale to the campaign through the fairground is just brilliant 🙂
November 30, 2009 at 7:56 pm #74987XDC_WolfParticipantisn’t it just! Still loving this, need more people on it though!
December 3, 2009 at 7:29 pm #74988xdc the docParticipantwoot – played this for first time last night – intense!
I am a bit lost as there is no real introduction to how things work though!
Anyone fancy showing me the ropes tonight?
December 4, 2009 at 10:12 am #74989AlzirKeymasterDamn this is much harder than the orginal, and better for it! The second last stage last night on fair ground was hilarious 😆 I think we could do better running down the final straight, maybe all taking the auto shotgun and taking turns on point, alternating between reloads. I was using it myself and it mows down everything along the path, but only gets you so far before you have to reload. Of course we could just continue to die horribly like last night because it’s funny 🙂
Anyone know why the chopper didn’t turn up on the final stage? Were we premature in running up for it?
December 4, 2009 at 12:28 pm #74990sickofitallParticipantDunno what you’re on about mate. There was no problem on that penultimate level last night. Doc saved me by helping me up and we then ran confidently past your bodies to the safe room where I dived in and turned triumphantly round to see Doc dragging himself through the undead just as I selflessly shut the door in his face.
Just remember – don’t go pulling that shite with me in future though. It’s only funny if I’m doing it to someone else.
Don’t think the chopper turned up because the AI director is a bit of a bastard.
December 4, 2009 at 1:08 pm #74991AlzirKeymasterI might have made it as well actually had it not been for the poor volume I was getting from TS. I hestitated too long wondering if those were cries of Help I was hearing or whether you were all telling me to run like fuck 🙂
December 4, 2009 at 2:31 pm #74992XDC_WolfParticipantI fell not two yards from the door, but it was funny to see you slam the door in Docs face just and watch him die! Wish #I’d been on earlier, but am up for more tonight form 8p.m. onwards. The only problem with this game is that unless you have a couple of people on TS laughing and joking, it can be a bit too intense, there is no game less suited to lone wolf than this game, it’s all about teamwork. Played with some oHp guys after you all went to bed and we had a blast playing scavenge, the infected work really well as a team, but are pointless without direction. Also was on a server which if you had a player pinned or smoked on just in your control, it would open up a voice chat to them so you could taunt them, had a great time when I smoked one who had left the others ehind and managed to smoke him to death, all the while taunting him! He was not amused!
Seriously, this game is the most intense fun I’ve had for years on a game, very different to BF2, but as pure entertainment, it’s fantastic!
Also, we could get a versus against oHp going if we can all stay up past midnight (they are American so they ten to be on after midnight, I usually go to bed at about 3 so it’s no problem for me (the beauty of being self employed and not working before 11 am!)
December 4, 2009 at 3:08 pm #74993XDCMADMAXParticipantis it worth me getting this then, i feel tempted as i did enjoy the demo.
December 4, 2009 at 3:17 pm #74994AlzirKeymaster😆 that’s brilliant with the taunting

No problem over the weekend I’m sure, just let the rest of us know when they’re free for a game, and we’ll see what we have. How many of us have this now anyway? By my reckoning there’s, my brother, Wolf, Doc, SOIA, Wizzy, and Voo.
edit: It’s a good laugh Max, and a nice change of pace from time to time. I like a game of it a couple of times per week, and at the weekends when the rats play versus, but that may change as more xdc get it, and as I keep finding reasons to like it more than L4D1.
December 4, 2009 at 6:14 pm #74995xdc the docParticipantLol – good fun – I should be around later tonight.
WTF you talking about the chopper? I was watching you guys whilst dead and I clearly saw the chopper on the right of the stadium (looking from the stage.) You guys for some reason were wandering around the left side of the stadium getting mauled to death?? 😈
And thanks SOIA – with friends like you who needs enemies? I don’t feel so bad about accidentally shooting you in the back of the head now.

Ahh well that’s good to know, the game must alternate where it picks you up from.
December 6, 2009 at 12:26 pm #74997xdc the docParticipantEnjoyed my first versus game last night – though some American guy kept shouting at me for not doing things properly (FFS its not that easy!)
Bit silly having every1 on TS at once though isn’t it? I would quite like to be able to just chat to fellow infected and get some proper teamwork going rather than the usual free for all. I could imagine a boomer / hunter combo, spitter / jockey etc would work really well.
