It’s really hard to get used to! But good fun for snipping, especially when you are trying to shoot something that’s about 10 times bigger now 😀
My old man is interested in getting a cheapish projector to view his world cinema collection on… He says hes seen them around for £500… What difference will money do in the projector market?

Nope! Brand new Panasonic AE900’s go for about £970. I then got a 5m HDMI cable, some Logitech Z5500s 5.1 speakers and a 2.3m pulldown screen.
All from pixmania.co.uk and it came to £1470 with delivery!
Its now £889 on Pixmania… not bad drop in one just over a month!
For 900 quid, the AE900 is amazing!
Recently watched War of the Worlds on it, its trully wicked, and The Incredibles makes me excited.
For 500quid you can get a second hand Panasonic AE700 (AE900 is 1 step up). These are also getting outstanding reviews!
I’ve uploaded some fairly recent pics. They look a bit grainy because I didn’t set my camera to the correct ISO, my apologies!
Screen I’m using is 80″ wide, no idea how big that is diagonal, probably 110″ plus!

Whats the difference (excluding the obvious!) between a plasma and a projector? have both got pros and cons?
Plasma is 2grand for 50″ screen, PJ is 1grand for 100″ screen…
Quality wise there is no difference, projectors have come a long way, and bring on HD TV and they are going to be sexual!
My projector is LCD, you can get DLP ones, but LCD’s are generaly more advanced and practical as they have more options

Mine is HD. 1280×768 native resolution. HD is 576, 720 and 1080 or something.
