Nottingham for a night out is fine , i spent a great weekend there a year or so ago.

Too right WET. We have lots of crime in London too, but the rapists, muggers and murderers down here are salt of the earth types. Sure, they might try and mug my wife using a Samurai sword at 1am, but they luv their mums and are never too busy to say ‘hello’.

Okay, just started doing a quick search for Hotels in and around Nottingham and this one popped up:
It’s รฦรโรยขรขโยฌร ยกรฦรขโฌลกรโรยฃ49 quid a night for a double room on Friday or Saturday and looks to be pretty nice. Maybe Lensman can let us know what the location is like. I’m not sure if they charge per person, but รฦรโรยขรขโยฌร ยกรฦรขโฌลกรโรยฃ25 each for a room sounds like a good deal, that’s providing we can all find somebody to share a room with.
The Gateway is a fine enough hotel – been to a few do’s there a while ago, but it is several miles away from the town centre. Probably a 15-20 minute taxi ride. Might be worth calling the hotel to see what their estimate of taxi fare is.
It is easy to get to – close to J26 of the M1.
There are probably some similar places a bit closer in, but don’t know how prices will compare.
I’ll have a think and see if I can get some alternate suggestions, but the Gateway will be a good fallback.
Maybe this would suit your tatsebuds neon.. One of my ladies from down there put it forward.. dunno about the price .. but if you start now, you’ll have it saved in no time! ๐
